Hello hello to all!

I am Trisha, fresh on board as of last night and completely clueless as to what I am doing. I am an avid forum poster, so already have gone through and posted some questions and responses on other posts, and then decided perhaps I had better go find a place to introduce myself....

I am married (5 years in July) to a computer tech/geek, so have plenty of support on the computer end of things. I also teach 7th and 8th grade computer classes. We live in California and have 2 boys - 3 years and 8 months. He has a daughter from a previous marriage (who will be 10 this year) that spends summers with us. I have 3 more weeks of work and then am out for summer break and will have oodles of time to spend working on whatever I can to help supplement our income a bit.

I do amateur webdesign in my spare time and have created countless websites. I enjoy many different things in my spare time - quilting, genealogy, and playing World of Warcraft with my husband. :-) We are big gamers.

My husband has been unemployed off and on for the past five years and has some back child support to pay. It is my hopes that we can pay this, as well as pay down my student loans through some online business stuff. I have been selling on ebay for a few years now, mostly just stuff that I review for my websites (last week I made $300 in 1 run of 3 day auctions with under $40 cost to me for listing and all), but wanted to bump up what I have been doing and take it to the next level. So here I am. Hoping to learn more.

I look forward to getting to know you all and seeing what new tricks I can add to my growing knowledge of e-biz!

Welcome. I am also a gamer in my spare time. Just don't have much sparetime. Mainly a winter gamer when I can't race

I game each evening after all else is done. Just now finishing up for the night, getting all my ebay auctions packaged from this last week's sellings. Have three more waiting to pay, but am heading to the PO tomorrow to drop these. Been packaging now for about 2 hours and am DONE for tonite. :-) This is why I considered drop shipping... save my poor aching back from bending over packages and writers cramp.... I am being sarcastic of course. Mostly.

Hehe I also do alot of gamming myself. I play a game called AmericasArmy. And I do a little xbox360 on rainbowsix vegas.

I do most of that in the early morning hours after midnight when Im done with my ebay listings and salehoo work.

I just shipped 96 items this morning, Really pissed off a few customers.
We had a line all the way down the hall and out the door. I know I can automate but i cant stand ship & click As it takes too long. And dont have a phoneline or local phone service to use a postage machine. They need to get thier services upgraded so you can hook postage machines to a router through your own cable service.

I know that as our weekly sales continue to grow that its going to get harder and harder to keep things organized..But Id rather have full control over whats being shipped then rely on some dropshipping company 3 states away.

That is my thinking too. I prefer to know when things are shipped and how it is packaged, as well as the quality of the item I am sending out. I want complete control. So I am thinking I am going the route of wholesale purchases now.

I have 48 items to ship today. I am going to be irritating a lot of people. Most are media, as they are books. I have my click and ship items I figured I'd just take with me, though I already paid for them and have the labels on them for the few priority purchases, but the rest are going to be consuming a lot of time. The PO is used to me coming in and doing this, as it is a small local office. But it still doesn't help with the irritated people behind me. :-) I can hear the sighs when I start pulling package after package out.... Only a few times have I had so much that I had to ring the bell and have them bring a cart to the back and take it all in themselves to meet me at the counter. Normally I can carry it all, though today is one of those days that I have two large totes FULL and can barely carry it all.
