Amazon shipping question

So I went to sell a product on Amazon today because it was going for a little more than on eBay. Even with the fees, all was good. The problem was that their shipping allowance was about $2 less than my shipping costs (even using Parcel Post).

Am I missing their shipping method some how--in other words, am I overpaying for shipping. I weigh my product and use Half.com's label printing; but even if I go to the post office the cost is the same.

After all was said and done, between Amazon fees and the difference in shipping costs, the higher price on Amazon ended up being LOWER than I'd make on eBay selling the product for less money.

Had it not been for the crappy shipping allowance, I would have used Amazon in a heartbeat.

What method are you using? You should also try and check what they are using as a reference to your shipping charges.
