I thought the escrow service on DHGate was offered by DHGate, not escrow.com. Am I wrong?Link hidden: Login to view
Thanks, but you didn't answer my question, you just told me how escrow works. Have you personally had a shipment either seized by Customs or not satisfactory while using DHgate's escrow service? Following the steps outlined above, how quickly did you get your money back?To answer GoHogs question, it's actually very easy to get your money back. After the seller sends you the items you have a set amount of day to inspect the items and see if they are exactly what you ordered. If not you log into the escrow transaction (before the inspection period time is over) and you have the option to decline the items and get you money back. You have to ship the items, give escrow the shipping information and once the seller gets the items back they log into the transaction and state that they got everything back the same condition they sent it and escrow refunds your money. It's the most secure way to do transactions and is comepletely safe. Hope this helps.
Yes I've actually had a customer that wasn't satisfied with a ring that I was selling on Craigslist a few months ago. He had to send me the ring back and I had to log into the Escrow site and report that the ring was in the same condition as I shipped it out when I got it back and that he can have his money back. He was refunded that day and he said his money was back in his account the next morning. I've never had anything seized due to customs, so I don't know about that but most people here say that you will get refunded if the items are seized.
