thinking of purchasing in bulk from a US company, not a lot of stuff, thinking try small batch first, see how that go.

wondering if anyone has dealt with a frieght forwarder and also what to do with customs, how much do customs take??

Hi TS,

I know the product you have in mind of course and while it is considered a food item, there will be no issues in regards to quarantine or that nature. In regards to customs charges, your order will be a long way from the 1000 dollar GST limit, so no GST applicable and absolutely no import duty that I am certainly aware of.

Packaging is the only real concern that I would have, you don't want half the stock broken by the time it arrives.

I am going around in circles

Hello,

Please submit the following documents if that is the case.
Documents that will need to be submitted:

- 2 Government issued photo IDs
- A 1583 form signed and dated by yourself (USPS form that you can access in the verification section of your account)
- A utility bill which matches your Shipito billing information

what can I do, no way can I supply them with what they want.

Hi Laurie,

I visited their site in the hopes of finding information to help you out but I was unable to find any information, unfortunately.

You are obviously in contact with them. Maybe you can explain that the different names refer to the same person that being you and let them know that you are based in Australia.

If it doesn't work might be time to look elsewhere.

I hope Marc has something up his sleeve to help you out with Shipito.

The best of luck!

Oh my... From the many posts that I have read in the past the company that is often recommended is Link hidden: Login to view

I guess if things don't turn out for the best with Shipito might be best to seek other options.

All the best!

Depends largely on the goods. Duties are usually 5-10% and are getting lower every year, there are also massive amounts of goods that are duty exempt.

A freight forwarder is a good idea so is a customs broker. The payment to them is usually only 100 -200 dollars on most orders and they handle the paperwork etc and all the headaches.

Hope this helps
