Why would companies not like to sell internationally?
I don’t think it is a matter of “not likingâ€, as there are several suppliers listed in our directory who are willing to send internationally. Some suppliers however, are limited financially, or are not willing to go through the rudiments of selling internationally, or are still at the primary stages of their business. There are also some who have had negative experiences importing to specific countries that they exclude dealing with businesses from such locations.
Does a company need clearance to export pen drives, external hard drives and laptops from UK to Ghana?
I wasn’t able to locate any specific information related to this clearance, but I assume this will most likely be in place, and your plan will not be easy. E-waste presents a potential security threat to individuals and exporting countries. Hard drives that are not properly erased before the computer is disposed of can be reopened, exposing sensitive information. Credit card numbers, private financial data, account information and records of online transactions can be accessed by most willing individuals. Organized criminals in Ghana commonly search the drives for information to use in local scams.
Hope this helps. :)
