Hi,

I'm new to this and doing my research.

Anyway, I'm based in Singapore and after reading a couple of official customs/trading websites and going through the online courses on these websites, I feel the import process is too complicated for a small business owner to take on!

I don't know if I am reading the sites correctly but shipping by sea seems so much more difficult airfreight. There are so many forms to fill up and approvals to get from authorities.

Anyway, I keep reading about "Declaring Agents", who are the link/consultants between trading industry and shipping industry and I tried googling on how to find a DA, but google failed me so far and am unable to find one - all the sites seem to be about government frameworks for DA. So where are these DAs and could anyone recommend a DA in Singapore who is affordable one that is, suitable for a small biz starting up?

Thank you!
