I'm a foreigner staying in Malaysia. I want to make a PayPal account, but I have some question.

What kind of U.S bank account do they mean? Is it any US bank? and if the bank have brunch in US and in Malaysia? Can I use that? For example HSBC or other bank. So can I withdraw money from the Malaysia branch to take my money?

I heard that PayPal account easy to get fraud, because some of my friends have experience that. So if I cannot take the money from the PayPal account then that will be so dangerous, right? Do you have solution for me? and for anybody (non-US, especially Malaysia) that using PayPal for receiving payment, how you take your money out from PayPal account? Please share your experience with us, thanks.

Thank You for your time and help.

Thanx for the suggestion. :)

I saw most of the ebay seller from Malaysia, do receive payment through paypal from their customer... I wonder how they get the money later on.

If using credit card, can u tell me how? we just tell them our credit card no and then they transfer?

Thx

i'm not an expert in paypal.. but if you're receiving payments just tell them your paypal email address will do. do not reveal your credit card info to anyone.
your paypal account is linked to your account (hsbc, maybank or whatever) thru the credit card info you used to sign up. withdrawal of funds should directly go into that bank account. however, conversion rates and bank fees may apply. I'm not too sure abt this cause i've nv withdraw money from it either..

but most important, don't give out your credit card info to anyone at all. don't know what they'll use it for.

PayPal is safe, fast and easy (their slogan and I use it too for my customers). I am using Paypal for about four years now, they are really good to you and all and I am happy with them.

If you get cheated with your money from scammers, PayPal will refund you your money up to

If you do want your money to be transferd from your paypal account to your public account, then you will have to do that yourself by clicking on send money. With the public account you have provided to Paypal, will be transferd and will be ready to use in about two to three days from your local bank.

Your debit bankcard is good. That option is not provided for us here in the netherlands, but our local banks work very close to PayPal.

Greetings and be prosperous in your business. :)

I have ask paypal... but they said cannot. For Malaysia country and other country that dont have permission.

Here is the email that they sent to me

PayPal does not credit funds from your PayPal account balance to your
credit/debit card.

It's sad that Paypal haven't expanded fast enough to suit everyone yet. It is the safest and by far the easiest way to recieve funds.

However, I thought it might be helpful to suggest the next best alternatives: Credit Card and Cashiers checks and Money orders.

Credit cards are very safe, however it can take quite a while, and be very costly, to set up a merchant account.

Cashiers checks and money orders are also reasonably secure because payment is traceable to a particular mailing address. Proof of payment is also provided.
If you are using eBay, then cashiers checks and money orders are covered for up to $200 under the eBay standard Purchase Protection Program (minus $25 for processing costs).
Most banks also offer a stop payment service if problems arise before the check is cashed. Some money order services may have the option of stopping the payment if problems arrive before the payment is cashed.

The two main problems with Cashiers checks and money orders are (1) the delay while the money clears - usually 7 working days. (2) Payment is almost impossible to recover if you happen to get a counterfeit money order.

Hope this helps :)

paypal is good for the buyer but not for the seller.
I sold website design to a customer on ebay, 2 months after he recieved the websites. He decided he didnt want it and asked for a refund I told him I cannot give you a refund since you have received the websites and it is now 2 months later, He only paid 56.00 by the way, my time is worth more than that but i had no reserve I am a single mom and was trying to make some extra cash. any ways he asked his credit card company to reverse it stating he did not receive product, paypal said they would help me fight it so I sent them all the emails stating he did receive 'product' the website and they still reversed the charges to my paypal account. HOw can they do that when I had the emails from him through ebay that he did receive it???? So my account went to a neg plus I lost all the fees involved from ebay and paypal.
