A lot of the products I sell like dvd's and electronics have a lot of bigger competitors on ebay. Does anyone have a suggestion (aside from auction bumping) for a cheap/free way to advertise the products I sell on ebay? Do you think it would also be a good idea for me to try selling on others sites such as amazon or yahoo?

Hi wargamedt9644,

Have you heard of eBay Adcommerce?

It's a fairly new advertising tool for eBay sellers. It would certainly be helpful for someone like you who is selling highly competitive items.

The best part is you can choose how much you want to spend on using the tool, and your text advertisements are free to display.

You can find out more about it here:

Trying other sites like Yahoo or Amazon is a great idea, and something I really encourage. Bonanzle and eCrater are other examples of alternative platforms you can sell on.

We reviewed eCrater just last week so check out this blog to find out more about it: Link hidden: Login to view

Hi wargamedt9644,

If you want to advertise for free, you could also try using social media sites to advertise your products. Like you could start a fan page on FaceBook or tweet about about it on twitter (that is if you have a twitter account -if not yet get one)

Another thing you could also do is join 3rd party forums, contribute a little to their discussions and don't forget to add your site URL in your signature area. This way you get you get exposure every time you post something on the forum.

All the best. Cheers! :)

Hi, if you are in the market for wholesale electronics to sell at places like ebay and other portals and you are wanting a good profit margin to compete with other sellers then contact me at alldiscountz2012@gmail.com. I can get apple 5, I can get all kinds of cellphones (htc, nokia, sony, and more). I can also get all kinds of cameras like canon, tablets, macbook air, macbook pro. I only deal serious business to business and do not sell retail minimum order depends on quantity of order and can be as low as 3 units. I accept secure payments through google checkout.

So if you currently sell electronics or wanting to start your own business and looking for product then send me an email at alldiscountz2012@gmail.com and I will reply with price list and terms.

Have a good night.....

Hi just_me,

There is quite a buzz online about social media sites like twitter. You can check through our forum for related links and tips as well. Just about every magazine/blog/forum is talking about using social media sites, even big time companies now have twitter accounts as well.

One of the latest big names to join the world of twitter is the Dalai Lama himslef :)

Just thought you'd want to know. Cheers!
