Do I have to pay income tax for this ?

Hi there,

I'm wondering if I sell something online, my customer purchase it and pay me via paypal account directly to my credit card. Do I have to declare income and pay tax for it ?

1. How Revenue department knows if I have an imcome transfer ?
2. Do I have any document to show them that I have an income ?
3. Who is gonna check my credit card balance?

I don't want to avoid tax or doing something wrong about it. But I'm curious and would like to know the best practice regarding this issue.

If You only sell occasionally I wouldn't worry about it. But if you are selling on ebay to create a second income it would be wise to report it.
