Arbitrage is a great way of finding items to resell until you have been arbitraged yourself! Ebay 'hawks'scour listings and when they find you, watch every move/mistake you do.Not only did that happen but the arbitrager then stole my photos and happily put them on their listing to resell! That is an Ebay breach of policy(crime) so why can I only leave positive feed-back for a theif? Why shouldn't the Ebay world know they are dealing with a theif, the buyer certainly lets the whole world know by negative feed-back with the most trivial crap like slow post, postage too expensive etc.(no crime) I want Ebay to bring back the old method of being able to leave negative feed-back for those buyers who deserve it. The customer is not always right!!! What happens now to the photo thief? My first Ebay auction brought me nothing but grief and I am out of pocket, was arbitraged, items missing through Aust Post, postage calculations way-out,photo theft,feed-back not left, slow payments.Boy, what a lot of fun! Can't wait for my next auction..... stay tuned!

If you put your item up for sale and you sold it to the highest bidder, then the transaction is complete when you've been paid and sent the item. If the buyer then chose to resell the item there's nothing you can do about that. However, they really should have taken their own pictures and written their own copy. I personally think you should move on from this as it sounds like you are letting it get you down. Ebay arbitrage is great mate! I've even bought a few bargains from sellers who don't have their items listed correctly or who have misspelled their headings then turned them round for a bit of profit. It's business, not theft. If you left positive feedback because the buyer paid you in good time and communicated well, then why would you want to change it to a negative? They fulfilled their part of the auction process. Just move on and learn to list your items well and in the right category and place a realistic starting price on them.

Difficult I can do right away. Impossible takes a little longer

Another crime is watching people buy a certain brand of boots on ebay for 50.00 dollars more than cost.Today i found a guy who sells boots on ebay for over 50.00 retail. If people did a 1 minute search they would see they can get the same boots from the main company 30.00 dollars cheaper and, with free shipping. Not the 35.00 dollars shipping charges this guy tacks on.He is also selling sunglasses 30.00 above cost,in less than a minute i found the supplier of the sunglasses.Yes 30.00 cheaper from the real distributor.Yes people are buying his stuff! I guess they feel if its on ebay it must be the cheapest. This guy is making a killing, good for him.

I've seen this happen over and over again, it's why the real estate industry prefer auction as their chosen format of sale.

It doesn't always work, but when you get at least two people wanting the same item they can sometimes stop biding with their head, and start biding on pure emotion. When that happens all logic goes out the window and value just isn't that important at that stage.

It's like white line fever....they get a big case of the ' I have to have its' and they will drive the price past the point of common sense.

I go to a lot of auctions, and I see it there everyday with relative new comers. When they decide they want something they just go crazy. I'm sitting there watching things go past the any value for resale, and when you think they are bidding for themselves they still drive the product past any sensible value.

Would be nice for sellers if that happened all the time on ebay, unfortunately it doesn't. Ebay is still very much a buyers market, as plenty of sellers here have come to realize to their peril!

You should really read your post.At first you say.
'Arbitrage is a great way of finding items to resell'
But then SUDDENLY 'Ebay 'hawks'scour listings and when they find you, watch every move/mistake you do.' Now the guy is a thief,a criminal and you want to let'the Ebay world know they are dealing with a theif,' Your next comment is what I think is the best'the buyer certainly lets the whole world know by negative feed-back with the most trivial crap'. I think that about sums it up.

Everyone from salehoo to ebay powersellers tell you how great arbitrage is,I dont bother with it.Preying on someone who doesnt list correctly just doesnt make me feel good. Karma to all the greedy people who use this method of supplying yourself with someone elses goodies, what goes around comes around. You WILL get your just desserts one day! As for my arbitraged items, the reseller is having loads of trouble trying to off load them[2 months later!:190691e3] Tell me now does karma work? You bet it does!! and THAT makes me feel real good!! I think that about somes it up perfectly!
