I opened my ebay account a very long time ago and haven't used it in forever. I just decided to log on there just to look at things and found out that someone has hacked into my account and now ebay is charging me $240. I am so mad. I am not paying $240 for items that I have NEVER even listed or heard about before. I contacted Ebay and Paypal. Paypal won't even let me cancel the transaction because Ebay is a verified account. What should I do?

Better ask Jimmy on this one. All I can say is talk with Ebay about the charges and than talk with paypal after you get the Ebay thing fixed.

If you can private message me with the full details of this incident and I can do some research and see if any other ebay members Have had a similar problem. And maybe ways to resolve this problem.

First thing is to check all the details of your personal information.
If listing were made and items were sold. Find out where they went and find out how payment was made. Get as much information as you can as this is your ammunition. And you need as much info as possible when contacting ebay to resolve this porblem. If you just play stupid and have no information to verify your claims then you will be stuck and ebay wont help you.

But the main way to resolve this problem is to work with the ebay fraud department. And security resolution services. You need to work with ebay first. They can track the ip address that logged into your account during certain transactions and see if it matches your local. Paypal is affiliated with ebay but they are still a seperate entity. You need to deal with ebay first then you and ebay can deal with paypal.

There are other things you can do like call your local authorities as most now have internet crime divisions that will investigate fraud and will work with you and ebay. Even the FBI has a internet fraud division.

You can visit this link for some information. But without detailed information there is not much I can do for you at this point.
