How long should you keep a listing up before removing it?

Just wondering how long you should leave a listing until its apparent that no one loves that pretty picture except you

Its $1.20 for 3 months so what leave them until that runs out or remove?

I probably have 20 of these cute pictures.

Hi AustGarageSales,

7 days is the default listing duration for most sellers and this generally gives plenty of time for lots of buyers to view your listing.

But in some cases a longer or shorter time is better, for example, if you have a really high-demand item, like an iPod, then 3 days can work well. On the other hand, 10 days is worth considering for a big-ticket item like an art-work or a collectible, as potential buyers often need more time to make a decision that involves a significant financial investment.

If you have more items to list why not list the other items in place of those "pretty pictures" you currently have listed. When sales start rolling in then maybe you can re-list the "pretty pictures" (items) again.

Also, I'd like to suggest the Research Labs - it can tell you the ideal start price and listing duration for your product so you have at least a rough idea of how to go about your listing.

Hope this helps :)

Oh sorry not too familiar yet with the new eBay stores..:(

Personally, I would try keeping half of it and replacing the other half with new products. Also, you may try considering a little change in your item listing - description, pictures...

Cheers!

I use the Good Till Cancelled option with all store stock, but keep the stock availability set low, 2, maybe 3 items at a time. If I find no action on the product after it has run the full course, I'll asses the page views firstly. If the page views have been strong, but no or little sales, I'll look closer at the listing and see if I can identify what the issue is and see if I can improve it before taking another shot.

If the page viewing numbers are down, I'll most likely dump the product to auction to clear the stock.
