Today I received a call from PayPal again. They are bothering me about my purchases and sales. They are asking me about where I received my products for, how i ship them, and other questions. Is this normal? Also the site I gave them as my sourcing site was a Chinese supplier. Are they going to suspend my account?

I am in the process right now of dealing with them on almost the same issue. They have not called me but have sent emails questioning where I get certain items. I had to provide them with my driver's license, a utility bill & proof of inventory for certain transactions. Luckily I save all my receipts & invoices. My account still has limits on it but I get all my product from the US via iOffer. PayPal is very wary of Chinese suppliers because they think everything is that comes from China is fake. So, if you are selling on eBay be very very careful of using Chinese suppliers. I'm not sure if PayPal will suspend your account but if they do, good luck getting your money!

How long did they suspend you for and what reason did they say they suspended you for? A suspension can be from 7 days up to permanent suspension. Just depends on why they suspended you. Use the contact info on the notice that they sent you and try to find out exactly what the reason was. then try to correct it. If you were doing nothing wrong then it should be easy to fix..Try and give them everything that they want and get back on...

Hi

I went through the same situation May last year and they asked to send a hill of documents, I fax it, email it, mail it nothing worked with them was still keep asking to send the same information till I gave up and they call me asking for the documents. I said I'm not going to send you anymore documents and I hate to be in a position like that with someone which I didnt do anything wrong and they are a service company should help and support not put me in the position of I'm the one have to serve them by sending documents so I stop sending any more documents and I mentioned that clear to them and I said to them that I know that I'm wasting my time with you.

They suepend the account and after 3 month they release it and get back to normal without any more efort I spend with them.

Well I would not take any of paypals mesages and promises seriously. They tried to steal 23,000 from my paypal account after they froze it when I tried to put the money back into my checking account so I could order a truckload of products. They tried asking me for information about my business. I sent them copies of my papers to prove my company was a legitimate entity and even other document proving the existence of my company.

They promised my account would be returned to normal. Then they tried asking me what I was doing with the money. Which is none of their business. Then they requested I fax them my information from the SEC. Why? I would have to be a public company that traded publically on the SEC or NASDAQ to even need this information.

They drug this on and on waiting 5 days from each email response. Id call then talk to managers that seems to agree with my situation and basically laid it out my account would be restored. The last message I had with them were full of profanities and basically cussing out 3 managers over the phone.

after 30 days of putting up with thier crap i went to my local courthouse and filed a lawsuit against paypal to release my money or continue the suit and would get them for withholding funds , improper representation of the facts and sue them for an additional $125 thousand dollars in damages incurred to my business for the loss of sales during the time they froze my account to the time the case was over. I did this with help by lawyers that hang out on Link hidden: Login to view forums.

Funny thing, the same day that my courier delivered the subpoena they released the funds.

Paypal knows that most people think they have no options. They steal money from their members on a regular basis. their own employees are trained to stall and delay consumer complaints. And their own managers have admitted this in open court in front of federal judges during a class action lawsuit in which paypal lost.

If they have more then 500 dollars of your money then you should file a lawsuit. you can do this on your own for around 75 dollars at your local courthouse. Dont be a victim.

Really really good advice. I was considering cussing them out when they first asked me those questions but i answered politely as i cannot afford for them to be on my bad side right now. I have a whole bunch of stock i need to unload in order to get my money back. However ebay seems to be suspending everyones accounts for trademark infringement or w/e. They all sell the same products as I.

Jimmy is 100% correct.. Paypal is notorious for holding and freezing account for no good reason. I stopped using paypal a few years ago.. paypal does this to gain interest on your money.. everyday paypal holds your money in its account(not yours) interest is made, let rephrase that. buckoo interest is made.. even though you see the funds in your account its an account that represents your portion of a much larger pool of funds.

each day paypal freezes someone accounts.. and you can imagine their freezing thousands of accounts per day for different amounts..

as jimmy also mentioned their is a website dedicated
to sharing some of paypals brazen acts..

you will find that paypal has several class action lawsuits
against them for this practice..

their are plenty of other options out their
i would recommend google checkout
as a 3rd party processor until you have enough volume
to justify a merchant account.
