You guys have me worried about paypal. I just started selling on Ebay a few weeks ago. I have made 45 sales from junk around the house and garage sales. Alot of fun IMO. I do not want to get screwed though, seeing how I don't have ALOT of $ , like most of us. Yes I'm a newb, that's why I paid the $ for this site etc..---
Should I change my account to NOT accept paypal and set up a merchant account on Ebay or is Paypal my only real choice there?

Oh and as for why I just flat moved away from paypal after moving to merchant, well here was the scenario.
Somebody purchased a gift for the birthday party off of my store on IOFFER.COM and it was all packed and put into the shipping list.
I notified Paypal actually that it was already paid for, yet paypal showed no record of any payment even going into the account - via credit card or anything.
The buyer was incensed, and this went on for 24 whole hours!
FINALLY, after over a day the payment showed up in the Paypal account confirming everything. The whole package & set was shipped, but they kept asking me why it took that long for Paypal.
Again I didn't know why other then the 'HOLD' scenario that had been something of a nusciance, as I never had it happen when I sold the watches. I checked their terms of service. It was infuriating & so I switched everything over to a different payment method being *OUR* preferred choice & didn't go back. Google Checkout is so easy that many just flat prefer it.
Yes I know. I just started a seller account with Bonanzle and am only using Google checkout myself. I will never use Paypal on anything but eBay.
Paypal is so stupid. They are disaffecting thousands of sellers from eBay who will never use them for anything else but.
