I have been reading the forum and have come up with some questions that I was unable to find the questions to and if they could be answered I would really appreciate it. I first asked about liquidation and got an answer from Jimmy, I have had a very rough year working wise so I don't have the funds right now but things are starting to turn around for me. I know when I am ready I will keep refering back to these forums.

Thank You
Merrie

1. Should I rent a storage unit? (I live in a condo with very little storage room)
2. How much is a pallet (size wise, I realize it differs) and how is it shipped?
3. Should I get a tax id?
4. Should I get a weight scale (to have a more accurate shipping cost)?

And finally maybe not a liquidation question:

What is the best advice for getting newly released DVD's around their release date to make a profit?

Q1. No, absolutely not! The last thing you need when first starting out is overheads. If you don't have the space, buy smaller lots to get you going, or bum some garage space of a friend to store a pallet.

Q2. Pallets will vary in size, but a full pallet will be about 4x4', and then will vary on the hight with each load, but some card-boarded pallets can go up to 6 or 7 feet high.

Q3. That is your decision, if you intent on running it as a business, then a Tax Id will be required, but you won't need on to purchase from a liquidator, they aren't wholesalers.

Q4. Yes.....knowing your shipping costs is a must or you risk ripping yourself off with the shipping.

The non liquidation question, sorry...can't help much with that one

: )
