Can anyone explain to me..first how scammers get peoples paypal accounts, and how they are able to buy items I have up on Ebay, and then pay with a hijacked paypal account. Leaving me to refund the paypal account holders and wait for Ebay to credit me with my FVF's. Thse were huge items I was selling, so the credit fees were pretty substantial. I am just so frustrated. :x Any advice or wisdom would be greatly appreicated. Thanks guys!

All criminals use a simple method to get control of someone's paypal account. They send out bogus emails.

These 'emails' appear to come from Paypal or someone, but they are never coming from Paypal.

If you honestly get 'anything' from Paypal it shows up in your Paypal account as you login!!!!!

ANYTHING ELSE IS A SCAM, PERIOD

And so it goes, they make certain you click the link then hijack your account immediately. All that they are after is the bank or credit information. And so the scam criminals will do this, make their purchases, and law enforcement ends up having to go through the three-ring circus just to arrest them.

In the meantime, its MANDATORY you NEVER click on anything from Paypal in your email. Nearly 90% of the time it will be from the scammers. And if it IS legitimate, there will be proof in your Paypal account so you just are good to go by forwarding most of those messages to Link hidden: Login to view for the authorities.

Exactly, I have over 100 auctions finishing each day, however I must get between 5-10 emails caliming to be from Paypal, I think in the hope youll click on their link and try to log in giving them your login details. If your in ANY doubt, just go into a new browser and log into your Paypal account - if there is a problem just resolve it otherwise, its a scam!

Also, I saw a product that I am sure is illegal...it logs all keystrokes, so anyone using a library watch out, they just have to put it in the keyboard port and plug the keyboard into the back of this and it logs EVERYTHING, websites visited, user names and passwords.

Heads on Grahamg, It's actually a pretty unique scam. It's really very very simple. The scammer copies a email page, such as paypal's or ebay's message page, adds a keystroke virus to a link, and when you click the link..WHAM... They have access to everything that you type on your keyboard...and I mean everything....

Best advice is to never ever click a link in any email..If you need to find out about the email it will be on your paypal page and or ebay 'my ebay messages' page..Always go into a new window and open the site page that you need, but again, never, ever, open a page from any email...

Just get rid of your paypal account. If it isnt the scammers scamming you its paypal. get a real merchant account. It will not afect your sales at all. I listed 214 items and sold 207 for 1 weeks sales

How do you get your signature links added? sorry this is off topic. A great tool to have is Roboform for passwords etc. I can't live without it.
