Is dropshipping on eBay wrong? As in selling goods that you don't actually own. I recently posted one and indicated that my supplier will ship the goods directly to the customer so as to save on shipping costs and time. Soon after my account just got suspended. I'm still waiting for a reply from eBay to know what exactly went wrong.

The weird thing is... I had another account using a different credit card to register. I just checked my email and realised that it has been suspended too. I shouldn't have problems with this second account cos' i have all my selling items on hand and sellers' fees don't apply on the Singapore site anyway.

Anyone has similar problems? Is there anything I can do?

Thats really weird, you are allowed to drop ship, I mean everyone doesnt have ALL they sell. Maybe youre just not supposed to say it. Thats a good point though.

I did some reading on this topic and eBay doesn't specifically address drop shipping one way or the other. The closest I can get are their 'pre-sale' rules, which is very similar to drop shipping IMO. You are allowed to 'pre-sell' as long as you will be shipping within 30 days of the close of the auction and you state that in the listing in regular sized font.

If you go to the eBay community message boards, you'll find mostly negative opinions on drop shipping. Most of the complaints are for the obvious reason - you list an item for sale and the drop shipper is out of stock by the time your auction ends. You then risk negative feedback and being reported to eBay as a non-performing seller.

The one common theme in the messages is that you have to find a good, reliable supplier. That's what we're all doing here!

Hi everyone, this is my first post but I have had a simial problem as the OP.
Where did you state as the Item Location? Reason I ask is I had been dropshipping and also stated that the goods would be delivered direct from the supplier overseas although I still put AUSTRALIA as the item location. I also had my account suspended. I also used another account which was also suspended. The reason for this is because they obviously realised that your other account was linked to a suspended account. They check this out by matching the IP addresses so if you had been accessing both Ebay accounts from the same computer the addresses would be the same.

I have since had my account reinstated and will be more careful in future.

My ebay account was suspended 2weeks ago due to me using a drop shipper. They stated I was suspended for 'abusing ebay!'

I went to try and reinstate my account and now they want all my account information with the drop shipper that I am using to prove that I am using a drop shipper!!

Sorry, just a bit pissed:( Ebay is becoming more and more of a thorn in the ass.

Has anyone correct this problem right away as it took almost a week and half for them to respond.

I've never had this problem, but any problems I've had before I noticed took forever to get email responses. You should try the Live Chat (link should be on the eBay homepage). Someone usually starts chatting with you within a few minutes, and I've been able to resolve a couple of minor issues that way.

Do not send dropshipping information to anyone You paid hard money for that information and when I was asked who my suppliers where from an ebay rep I told them that was not there concern As long as the customers got the products they paid for its not!
If your account was frozen it was not due to drop shipping
Unless a customer did not get a product
I will be posting a Main topic About auction sites
I Think EBAY has gotten to big for its britches and its time to show them that if we do not sell on there site they do not make any money

Ebay sent me an email a few days ago advising me that i wasn't stating where the product was coming from.

I cleary stated that in the description etc

'Shipped Directly From Japan'

I replied

'Well stupid heads thanks for nothing...'

I can't wait till another auction site becomes more popular.

I hate the fact that ebay or owned by Microsoft...

Hi all of you out there, I just had my eBay account suspended for a whole year. Can you believe that- I wasn't even selling body parts, lol. So I've noticed a few frustrated people out there as well concerning eBay. Does anybody have suggestions of where else to go. For example has anyone had success using Yahoo Auction site or similar ones. Let me know, because as a Mother of 7 kids I need to earn some extra money. You all can relate I'm sure. I'm posting from Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

Yahoo is decent, but you need to have an amazing product that ppl rlly want to sell, cuz ur not gettin that much traffic...so when ppl see ur auction they needa actually want it. ioffer is rlly good ive dealt with them and it was fine. good luck.

Yes Drop shipping is a major NO NO on Ebay..According to Terms of Service on Ebay.....when you list an item up for auction..their rules clearly state..that you have this item in your hands..Meaning...in your home or some warehouse that you already have purchased the item. A friend of mine stated the same thing on her auction that her supplier would ship.....Not only did they close her Ebay account..but Paypal stopped her account also..and asked her for a invoice to show proof of purchase that she already had this item in her hands. They held up her money!.
Suggestion..Do NOT post this is a drop ship item!

Never state where your getting your
merchandise, it's nobodys business, as long
as they get what they bidding on.

Just like u-bid they say you can't use
drop shippers but by looking at the
lisitings you can pretty much see that
most of the merchandise listed is
from drop shippers.

PS: When listing on ebay, make it as personal
as possible. Us words like super, fantastic, selling item below cost, No reserve, LOOK!,Bargain, Calculate your own shipping cost...People like to be in charge, they don't like to wait.

Thats my Input!
