I have just come across an alternative to the Trade Me auction site in New Zealand (for the few kiwis here).

It is Link hidden: Login to view and I also read that it won the top gong in the NZ Netawards this year (it's been going about 9 months).

Just thought as an alternative for selling, this may be an option. The community discussions seem pretty good and with the awards coming, the word may be spreading in this part of the world.

Also a 'wanted' section which is a bit of a change.

Happy browsing!

that sounds great, will be sure to browse it,
although i will be more use to trademe, but their damn 5.5 percent fee is nuts.

Agreed, their costs are getting too high. This has the result of people asking too much for goods as they factor in these charges to their selling.

Enjoy.

Many people ask me to buy the mp4 players for quite a lot of, i normally accept the offer as long as they are willing to pay the succes fee

I have been on Zillion and have an account set up.

Whilst it is a good alternative, the biggest problem is that it just isn't trademe.

It doesn't quite have the member numbers at the moment, although I am hoping that will change.

I still find trademe easier to navigate, and yes, the 5.5% success fee is kinda a pain in the ass, but I have somewhat countered that by selling lots of small goods at low prices. It takes you longer to accumulate a good profit, but it feels much better when TM is only taking a couple of dollars from your item.

Cheers,
Tom
