Bangalla review

Hi Guys,
Is anybody ever involved with bangalla.com supplier? I just had a very disappointing experience with them. They said if I buy gold membership with $25/month fee, I will get 5% discount. Yesterday I bought supply but got no discount at check out. I told them to add that discount to the final bill. They said the price I saw is already discounted price. I will not get any more discount. But I saw the same price before I buy the gold membership. Later in today, they emailed me that they just added 5% discount on my account which will be applied from next month's purchases. But they will not give me any credit on already submitted order.

They also said they ship free to FBA center. They gave a coupon code and I got rid of the shipping fee. Today, they emailed me I have to pay $16.25 shipping fee because the product I ordered will need to be shipped from somewhere else to them. It will take lot longer time to send to FBA center than anywhere else. But none of those were in FBA agreement I signed with them. The person's name is Karin McCloskey. I am not feeling comfortable to order anything else from them. I gave my credit card number to them during registration. I told them I do not want to renew my gold membership anymore. This supplier is on SaleHoo trusted list. I hope they will not keep charging my credit card.

Hi Iqbal,

I contacted Bangalla and received a prompt reply and explanation on this matter. Karin has explained that with your Gold membership, you will not see the 5% discount at check out. Rather the gold discount program works by automatically reducing all the prices by 5%. The overall price at checkout is already discounted.The prices can be compared without being logged in and also when logged into their account.

Concerning the FBA, Karin stated that she did notify you that there would be additional charges before the order went into process. She offered to credit you for the order before the item was shipped and she further suggested a different product that did not require shipping at all. I believe you chose to continue with the order, and therefore you got charged for the shipping fee.

Bangalla has already confirmed with you via email that they will cancel your Gold membership program per your request after this month. No further charges will be billed to your account. And because you were unsatisfied with the service, they have made an exception and your shipping fee will be refunded.

Does this help clarify the matter on their membership program and the shipping charges?

Just a foot note on this for other members interested in dealing with this supplier.

I think it should be mentioned that the feedback we receive in regards to Bangalia is overwhelmingly positive since they have been registered with us. Putting that aside, the fact that they stepped up to the plate in assisting us to resolve this outstanding issue with Iqbal speaks volumes about the quality company they are.
