Hello,

I was wondering about the dropshipping/wholesale supplier: BigBuy - are they reliable or not?

I have been searching all over the internet to find reviews or something related but nothing came up. Please help me find out since they are not answering me about my questions and even that is not a good sign. I would really appreciate if someone know anything about them and please inform me.

Kind regards,
Tone

Hi Tone,

BigBuy is a fully verified member of our directory. While their customer service seems to be lacking in this instance, they are a well respected supplier. Do note that the best form of initial contact is by phone as these suppliers are bombarded with so much emails daily. Allow them 3 to 5 working days to get back to you and please note on your timezone differences for operating hours, if any.

Read on their supplier profile on the link: Link hidden: Login to view

Let us know if you still struggle to get a response and we will follow up with them on your behalf.

Cheers!

I have one more question though. I thought that dropshippers are not required having a tax identification number but BigBuy still requires it when you want to create an account with them. Is it because they are also a wholesale supplier?

As a general rule a tax id isn't something that dropshippers will usually mot worry about. although I have heard of a bit of a change in the recent past, so it may be something that more and more may well start asking for. As for BigBuy, I am only assuming, but it makes sense to me that the tax id is more related to the wholesale accounts.

Shane is contacting them to get clarification for you.

Cheers

Hi

I had problems with them too regarding customer service. No reply back twice.

Ok guys, I've discussed the two issues mentioned in this thread with our own customer support team and have the following advice passed on to me for you. When emailing them in regards opening an account, use this address Link hidden: Login to view. They will respond with a form for you to fill out, essentially designed to give them information about your personally or about your business.

Complete that and return to get to first base with these guys.

Hi Jan and welcome to the forum,

Are you referring to a store offer by BigBuy?

OK, sorry. I can't be of any help on that one myself as I have no personal experience. Hopefully we'll have someone who does have some personal experience that is happy to share with you.

Cheers

BigBuy has approximately the same price for most of their products as Amazon. In fact with free shipping on Amazon, its actually cheaper than BigBuy. And I'm talking about wholesale prices from BigBuy. What a rip off but they must be making loads of money.

Hi Kieran,

Wholesale pricing usually works in volume buying so the prices you see on a supplier's website are normally retail prices. Contacting the supplier directly will give you a better chance to discuss and negotiate their rates, depending on your purchase quantity.

Now sometimes you may notice products on Amazon selling at prices the same, or lower than the supplier's. That's usually because wholesalers also sell on Amazon themselves. With the largest online marketplace yet, Amazon can be extremely competitive specially when selling something that's a current top hit on the market. Either you order bulk quantities to drive the wholesale price down to compete, or you sell on other selling sites to avoid competition.

Here are links of alternative selling sites to sell:

Hope this helps.
