Chinavasion feedback

Just about to receive my first order from Chinavasion - great when it arrives! Took ages (more later). Lot of BS when I queried a no response, to no acknowledgement regards payment, no order acknowledgement, blah - de - blah!

Just thinking, why bother purchasing from them when they list single item purchases on many sites, delivered home, in my case Ireland, as cheap as I can purchase wholesaler?

Technical assistance just muddled, ie. in relation to their surveilance cameras.

Also very offensive first contact with help desk, Life is too short, I say.

Anyway, will wait and see the quality of items shipped.

Yeah, awaiting delivery. First experience purchasing as a wholesale buyer - very "iffy" to say the least. Trial order value € 800.00 mixed goods by three, Chinavasion. Lets see what arrives.

Anyway, the most interesting thing at the moment is the items I ordered are easily available elsewhere, and may I say - cheaper & free shipping! Wow! So much for wholesale purchase! This directory needs to sit up and pay attention! Don't list suppliers who burn the candle at both ends, specialise, specialise , specialise!! Think about this, loads of suppliers in the US which is of little benefit to me in Ireland, Liam. The Wild Atlantic Way.

Ordered $800.00 first with Chinavasion. In this order were 4 HD IP PTZ security cameras. Approx. purchase value of cameras € 400.00 + Transport + Clearance @ 23% Vat.

Took first camera to an IT expert and unfortunately his report back was to state "This camera is useless" - not fit for purpose!

The software was not signed off by anyone, the instruction leaflet was definitely useless, the thing would not focus other than close up, huge security with the software being loaded in the camera itself, it goes on and on and on. IT guy thinks the lense might have been fitted back to front!

Situation: Left with 4 cameras which I would not even offer for sale to my worst enemy. Beware!

Just would not like others to be caught out like this.

Chinavasion have logged the issue and I will post again on this as it progresses.

Also trying PayPal for insurance cover.

We cant afford to loose such an amount in a first transaction, indeed any transaction, however, I would hate to consider what might have happened if we had proceeded to sale without first checking these cameras out.

I found this supplier through this directory.

Shane from Support is going to get involved on your behalf and work with the supplier to get you a satisfactory resolution to the problem. That aside, given that you have used your PayPal account to process the payment, you can choose to simply file a resolution request through PayPal if you prefer and have your refund processed on the basis that the item was not as described.

Let me know if you would prefer to just file for a refund through PayPal and I'll let Shane know that her involvement is no longer required.

Interesting I'm waiting for my first delivery from Chinavasion I'm now a little worried. This way of making an income is full of booby traps.

Mark, I have escalated this issue through the Resolution Centre system with PayPal. I am requesting a reversal of charges relating to these surveillance cameras only.

Summing up: I would strongly advise SaleHoo registered people to give Chinavasion some serious thought before parting with their hard earned cash. If deciding to go ahead with them, I would definitely use a payment gateway that offers some degree of comfort in the event they get caught like I did. I would further recommend if dealing with Chinavasion you stick to simple product, like steer a mile away from complex electronics, cameras, phones and such things.

Thanks also for the honest feeedback, that's always appreciated and we always recommend members use safe payment methods no matter who they are dealing with. That's why we will only verify suppliers that offer those payment methods to start with as another layer of safety.
