Howdy all
I am about as new as it comes to Internet marketing and have really been looking in to some ideals about what I should get into. All that I have learn so far is to be patient and that I should try to find something I like doing like a hobbie to find a product to sell.

Well, I play music and was looking for guitars and came across this supplier and could not believe what they were asking for on the brand name guitars.
Salehoo says 'Please be aware that a lot of sellers use this marketplace to sell counterfeit goods and we do not recommend purchasing ANY branded goods off this site as there is a 99% chance they will be fake.'

It was realy hard not to be floored by the prices... I mean they were selling something for 250.00 and saw it on ebay for 1500.00. Anyway, I was wandering if anyone has used this supplier before and has any insite on them or maybe another supplier that I could look in to.

Thanks for any help
God Bless

Hi Longrider_321,

Welcome to SaleHoo! Glad to have you on board :)

First of all I'd like to point out that DhGate.com is not a supplier rather they are a directory similar to SaleHoo. You'll find a number of suppliers there so that means you'll get to deal with a mixture of both great/good suppliers as well as con-artists. So do be cautious. ALWAYS do a little extra research before closing any deals and start off small, if you can, order just 1 unit. This way you can test the reliability of the supplier as well as the quality of the product.

Also we have always advised our members to not expect to buy any authentic brand name items from any of the suppliers on this site. But if you are in the market for generic no brand name items then I'm sure you'll be able to find suppliers in there.

Hi Longrider_321,

Welcome to the site! DHgate is also a directory of suppliers. Most of DHgate suppliers ARE legitimate and provide excellent service, especially those that offer generic goods. However, if you're looking for name brand products, please refrain from using DHgate as it is too hard to guarantee that their suppliers will always offer authentic brands where advertised, or that they have the distribution rights. As you may have read throughout the forum, the majority of brand name goods that come from China are either replicas or fakes.

Check out what other members have to say about DHgate. You might find it useful:

Hi Longrider_321,

With regard to this supplier, we have not received any serious complaints from SaleHoo members. Right Wholesale's site registration date is a little over 2 years old. You want to be cautious when using a site with a domain name registered for less than a year as most scammers tend to disappear within a few months to a year once word of their reputation begins to spread. Going back, Right Wholesale also accepts payments through PayPal. That's particularly good because it gives you a comeback if something goes wrong. With this type of payment, you can usually have the transaction reversed fairly easily if necessary. However, seeing as Right Wholesale is a Chinese supplier, we suggest that you err on the side of caution and request that they provide you with a proof of authenticity for their products. Most brand name items come with official paperwork for resale anyway, so if they're really offering authentic brands, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Here are some simple things you can do to protect yourself when dealing with any supplier (especially those found outside of SaleHoo).
1. Run a whois check on the supplier's website to verify when it was created (it is safest to deal with suppliers who have been online at least a year), who owns the domain, and where the domain was registered (the country should match the contact details on the supplier's website). We recommend using Link hidden: Login to view (replace salehoo.com with the url of the supplier).
2. Search the SaleHoo forum for the supplier's website/company name and see what other members have to say.
3. Call the supplier's telephone numbers to ensure they are genuine.
4. Purchase a sample before bulk ordering to ensure that the item meets your expectations.
5. Watch out for sellers asking you to 'safeguard' your purchase by sending your money transfer in the name of a friend or loved one, or by establishing a 'test question'. These actions will not protect you from a fraudulent seller.
6. Low prices do not necessarily mean fraud, but radically low prices should warrant a closer look. If a price seems to good to be true, it probably is. Ask the seller as many questions about the item's authenticity as you can before you go any further.
7. Always use a credit card or PayPal to purchase goods. So if the product you order is anything less than you expected, you are able to get your money back easily.

All the best!
