Doba doesn't get my recommendation

DOBA is definitly not one of the best warehouse to use. They are not even in the running.
The prices are very high for a wholesaler. (I have my markup at 18%, I can barely make anything on a sale once all of my expenses are factored in.)
The turn around for an order is long, usually three or four days from the time an order is placed to the time that they send an email that the order shipped. Meanwhile, I have customers wanting to know when I am shipping their order. ( I can't give them an answer) You need a day just to verify addresses and payment before placing the order with the warehouse. So it might turn into 5 days before an item is on it's way to a customer.
You pay a monthly or annual fee and still have to pay dropship fees. DOBA should require the suppliers eliminate the dropship fees

The only positive note is quite an extensive variety of products are offered, but DOBA is only the midddle man here.

I would not recommend DOBA to anyone, even on a trial basis. The prices are high ( little to no profit potential. We are doing this to make at least a little money, right?) . Membership fees are getting higher. (my last fee was $280.00) My membership will be expiring in three months, I see that my next annual fee will be $399.90. There is no way in H*** that I will renew my membership with DOBA.
Doba has an affiliation with my website host, that's how I got signed with them.
Don't make a mistake and loose money to DOBA.
There are lots of wholesalers offering the same products.
Trying to survive with an internet store is hard enough and there are too many companies trying to take away your earned income.

If anyone has had a good experience with DOBA post your comments.

I am also a member of Doba. I agree they are expensive but they are safe and easy to use with ebay. The push to marketplace makes it easy to use. I think it is good for someone just starting out. I only make about $5-10 on an item. You really have to sell alot to make anything. I just got into an argument with them yesterday. I sold an item, ordered it from Doba, and 3 days later they refunded my money because item was out of stock. I understand that will happen, but my problem was that I should not have been able to order item. Then I would not have sent an email to buyer saying their item has been ordered. (NOW I LOOK STUPID, THANKS ALOT DOBA) If anyone out there wants to really make a good dropship site, have the push to marketplace setting and when item is listed on ebay, they should reserve that item until auction has ended. It would be a pain for them but nice for us.

DOBA DID IT AGAIN
I am reporting the second time doba did not have item in stock within two days. I am done with them. Their yearly membership is around $400 I think or $67 a month+dropship fees. NO THANKS. I have to quit using them, they are going to ruin my feedback.

I just recently cancelled my subscription with Doba. First of all I ordered a product on Jan 15, don't you know that my customer is still waiting for the shipment. I received a shipping number but the product has not been picked up from the warehouse. Why can someone not drop it off at the post office? In the meantime my customer is waiting for the product. Besides this the prices are extremely high! The only things that are any resellable value in my opinion are the electronics. The rest of the inventory is garbage and the customers on ebay won't touch the name brands that they offer.

I am also cancelling my account. I do think it is a good site to start out because it's so easy to use with ebay. I would not stay a member for longer than a month. Just use doba to get the feel for selling.

I am new to salehoo.com, but did the trial with Doba.com before I came here. I listed a few items of ebay, and then I found some reviews about doba that made me rethink them plus I did some research and the items weren't that marked down as much as I would have liked. So I pulled the eBay ads. If any one is interested in the reviews I have found the are here ryansreview.com and thewebreviewer.com.

I use Doba and make money.

It's true that they are expensive on some products but on some they are well placed.
It's true that before listing anything anywhere you have to do your homework. Why to list an item where you don't make a penny?
Shipping wyse, I had only problems because I didn't see that a supplier had 7days turn around policy. When you list a product, specify Doba's turn around +1day and you're ok.
RMA wyse, they are great. Never had a problem[/list]
Bottom line, before you list anything DO YOUR HOMEWORK, and it's true with any supplier.

A few weeks ago I listed a couple of Accutron watches. They look like a good deal and I listed them. Within a couple of hours I sold two watches on buy it now. I order them immediately, they acknowledged the order took the money. Within a couple of hours I had received an email, saying due to discontinuance of this, they were cancelling my order. I immediately refunded the money and explained and apologized emphatically. I notified Doba and told them if they were discontinued why were they still listing them. 24 hours later they were still listed, but this time, a much higher price than original. They were not honest. Meanwhile I received two negative feedbacks, even after the apologies and the refund. Doba is not truthful, and I would not recommend them! :x

Don't use Doba at all, because you can find the works of sites much better than Doba just using Link hidden: Login to view (hint hint) and a little research.

Here's a tip to use if you are using dropshippers. If you are selling alot of the same products, you can order several and keep them in stock at your home. This way if you do sell one on ebay or where ever, and the dropshipper notifies you that they are out of stock, you are covered. It's a great feedback saver.
Also good communications is as important as good customer service. Try to build a good line of communications with your supplier. Once you do this you will be able to find out when they are running low on stock of a particular item and thus able to know when to withhold that listing.
Remember customer service works both ways. If your supplier is not willing to communicate with you, then you should probably not be doing business with them..gulfy13

Oh no! I should have checked here first. I signed up for one month. Will cancel after they ship my customer's items. This does not sound good at all. Bummer.
