I have contacted them and they are asking for a commercial general liability insurance? I have no idea what this is? I do have a resellers permit. Any suggestions?

I seriously doubt the validity of this site as actually being Jcpenny's liquidation website. I have contracts from pennys and I do not order from this site. thier real website does not even have jcpenny's.com in the url I am pretty sure this is a liquidators website.

As far as a google search this site is very new. And being posted on forums. This is something that many retailers would not allow. There is no price lists on this site either which comes into questions.

If this is a liquidators website which I believe it is. The liquidator will be sued as soon as jcpenny's finds out about this site.

Thanks for the advice. Also I was concerned with the payment method as they asked for money order, or cashier's check. I am fairly new to this and I am trying not to get ripped off.

I dont think Singapore would rip anyone off! He has always listed good sites in the past and I am sure if he says it is legit it probably is.

Just an update: I did contact the company, they were very fast in responding, they were very helpful. They took the time to answer my questions, being that I am new at this. They were very willing to work with me. But I am just starting out, they require general liability insurance in order to purchase from them. They did answer all my questions, being that I had no idea what this was. But I do not have this type of insurance. But in the end I appreciate their time and effort to help me.

The thing about this site I discovered is the insurance they are asking for is to cover your own but. You are liable for lost products and mis interpreted items, as well as returns. I have been a dropshipper for 2 years and i've seen scams galore. this site is NOT one of them but you do have to deal with more than wanted issues if there are any flaws or missing items in the merchandise. Feel free to message me for any tips or info about any site out there. Link hidden: Login to view

Did they detail 'why' they needed you to have liability insurance?

No, they did not say why they needed this insurance. Since I am new at this (I am four months old) I just left it at that. But I have learned so much in such a short time. I do appreciate as much advice as I can get.

I have to agree the only people that would require insurance would be the company you rent a warehouse location from. There should be no reason for needing liability insurance at all. I have never had a retailer ask me to provide liability insurance proof to get an account with them. This is very suspicious??
