Need advice on finding out if an offer I received is a scam

Hello everyone!

I am having a conversation with a guy that I found on Craigslist. He's selling an iPhone,I emailed him to inquire, then he emailed me back and told me that he has more than one if I am interested in buying more. After a couple of emails, he's ready to send me a number of iPhones by Link hidden: Login to view. A week after, he emailed me asking what is going on, why didn't I email him back to tell him I have received the shipment when in fact, I didn't receive anything at all.

Is he a scammer?

And the way he is shipping, I have never heard of this service before.

Hi Ibrahim,

Yes indeed that is a scam! trust me I fell into that similar situation a long time ago and is very much so a raw deal. First thing you can do is read over Craigslist's Scam report...its somewhere on the site but basically they give you several situations that buyers and sellers can see and know how to tell if a person is scamming you or not. I would read this over and also I would not respond back from this person at all! even if their message starts to become very forgiving, thats how they keep you running with them. So just ignore this person and know from here on in.

Yep, Don's given you some very sound advice there, you're being groomed (set-up) to take a major hit by a scammer.

The scenario you have outlined is quite a common one, those of us here that have been online for some time would have experienced something along the same lines, or certainly know others that have.

Scam run as fast as ya can listen to the advice given.... I been online 10 years and agree with the rest that this is a scam!
