Phone-ipad.com is a China based supplier that offers name brand products. I haven't personally dealt with them but if you search throughout the forum, you'll learn to be very cautious when dealing with Chinese suppliers as most branded goods that come from China are either replicas or fakes.

This supplier is fairly new, in fact their website was registered in June (of this year). There are many scam sites on the internet pretending to be reliable suppliers. These sites will either take your money and then never send the goods you paid for, or they will send very poor quality or fake merchandise. Most scammers disappear within a few months to a year once word of their reputation begins to spread. So it's generally safest to deal with suppliers who have been online at least a couple of years. Cause then it means that they're already well established and safe enough to deal with.

My other reservation is their contact email, phone-ipad@hotmail.com. It's hosted on a free account, of course, this is not a guaranteed way of telling whether a supplier is good or bad, but suppliers whose contact email address are at their own domain name are more likely to be legitimate.

More importantly, paying this supplier by their accepted methods of Western Union and bank transfers means that if something goes wrong you will LOSE your money.

Hope that helps.

That's what I was afraid of, I couldn't find many (only 2) reviews in google for them. I am trying to start with ebay but funds are very limited so it limits my up front purchase ability. So much competition on ebay too. Would love to build a biz but it seems you need a sufficient amount of funds to make it happen, or a really good supplier :) with a fair profit margin. Thank you

You're welcome!

That's right. The electronics industry has always run on very low margins from wholesalers to end users and marketplaces like eBay have only tightened the margins. You'll find that most electronics sell at the wholesale price or below wholesale on eBay. That's how intense the competition is.

If you do wish to stick with the electronics industry though, we suggest you -

Use liquidation suppliers to get bulk lots at prices well below wholesale.

OR order in bulk quantities (when you can) to drive the wholesale price down.

Increase your feedback and get powerseller status before entering the electronics market. This will give you more visibility in the search.

Sell via your own website or your eBay store if possible, as buyers generally pay more from these venues than eBay.

Add third-party extras and up-sells to your orders. These will help you bump up your margins to a much more acceptable level.

Better still - consider selling accessories for electronics rather than electronics themselves. Accessories are very popular, have less competition, cost less to ship and have much greater margins.

All the best, LM!

By the way, a quick search through the forum may bring up a few similar requests for Apple products suppliers. Are there any other products that you are interested in selling? We’d love to help you out.

Thank you for the information. I was looking into electronics or toys...especially the pretend to play toys but it seems suppliers are limited for those types of toys and the websites I find (just in google searching) are their own and don't dropship or wholesale because it's their business. I am always open to suggestions :)
Thank you again

Thank you I will check these out. Also for the last two days for some reason when I click on the directory link, the page comes up with nothing on it, it's blank. The other links work fine? It didn't save the suppliers I had in favorites either. Any ideas.?
Thank you again for your help.

Hi LM727,

Sorry for the inconvenience. There were some changes made on the site yesterday but you should be able to access the directory by now. Let us know if you are still having difficulty to access the directory, and make note if the favorites are still missing. Again we apologize for this.

Kind regards..

Irene

They do drop ship mostly in the UK but you can try and ask if they can drop ship for you.
