I think this was one of the Chinese wholesalers mentioned in a recent newsletter from Salehoo. The site(dhgate.com)lists products like Callaway Golf clubs and Nokia cell phones that are admittedly not authentic. How can they market these products legally, and if such products are indeed imitations, how can they be recommended on this site? Any feedback would be appreciated. I would like to sell these products, but not if it is obviously illegal.

I just ordered 5 TaylorMade clubs from DHGate. I only recieved 2 of them, but those 2 seem to be the real deal. We are trying to figure out, with the seller, what happened to the other 3.

I was wondering about the TaylorMades too. I found out that the Callaways are said to have serial numbers but not assembled in the 'authentic factory.' Callaway is big into finding and prosecuting those who make and sell fake clubs. That's why I started this thread. Hope you get your clubs etliquid!

Hi Jpdlthomas,

Please don't trust sellers on Dhgate.com.It has been my experience that they will sell you fake products and don't think you will get any protection from Paypal.Paypal's buyer's protection is useless outside of ebay.Sellers would use ebay information and picture and pass it off as their own.

Hope that helps

DHGate website sucks, impossible to email them, impossible to browse the products, and probably full of scammers. I did a purchase last week, but I think I did a mistake by choosing this supplier. I hope I am wrong. I will let you know next weeks

By the way supplier name is xunxunshop.

I just sold another item in Ebay, but I when was going to order it from DHGATE, the item I was selling just appeared with different characteristics (less GB memory), and more expensive. I do not know if I was fooled or if I did not read the characteristics of the item correctly due to my inexperience.
So I would like to leave an alert for DHGATE, review every details of the item you intend to sell in an auction to avoid bad surprises.
One more thing: This site really sucks, really very hard to browse and to search the products

Hello, jpdlthomas!

I do agree with you why they was listed on this website. I think most of us expect to see legitimated wholeseller, supplier. Don't we?

Hi,

I have been thinking about importing from a DH Gate supplier. So we bought one bag to see for ourselves. It cost us $70AU (including shipping). It is a fantastic fake. But that's what it is A FAKE. The same item is being sold on eBay and for well over $200AU. I contacted the ebay seller and posed the authenticity question. Their answer back to me was that they were selling it for a friend and that they had described it to the best of their ability.

I would like to see only suppliers of authentic designer labels listed on this site.

Be careful and don't get sucked in to doing somethiing illegal.

Hello,
My experience with DHGate was terrible. I purchased a Cloe bag for $127 which was awsome quality but I am certain it is fake. I also purchased one from a different seller that was $21 and it was terrible. If you are buying for yourself or someone you know doesn't mind fakes its ok but always check out their feedback! Click on the score on the right side of the screen to see it. My worst experience was puchasing 'authentic' football jerseys. I thought they were authentic since they told me they were and sounded very convincing. I found out the hard way when Ebay cancelled my listings and I received a letter from attorneys for Adidas that they wanted my inventory and $450 sent to them immediately. It scared the crap out of me so I am going to send them what they want. Now that I have been scammed I wonder if this attorney is legit before I do send him money. Be very careful of Trademark Violations and read ebays Vero program carefully. It can be very confusing.
Knowledge is power! Study up before you buy and sell.

Yes, its clear DHGate sells fakes, but their are some real good reliable FAKES supplier on here, some people hate fakes, others don't mind! Just sell them as if it were given to you as a gift, that's all! Its not illegal unless you get caught :D

That or I guess sell them at street level in lower quatities. From your examples it seems like there is alot of money to be made with fakes.

Anicolas, I would be very interested in knowing which seller you are dealing with. Every seller I've used only sells knock-offs! Thanks

i sell cell phones and other 15 other items .. the key is to get your close friends and family to get a total of 5 accounts verified on ebay. find the hottest items that sell every hour. each phone should average you 150 200 dollar profit.

for instance 200 x 15 listings gives you 3000 x 5 = 15 k per week on 1 item per 1 account ... imagine if you sell more than 1 hot item ... any power seller is fine on dhgate, you have to be straight up on your listings and give the specs. Nokia n95 2 slide averages around 325 dollars per itemon ebay you can get them for 180 per phone. bulk you get it cheaper. i do at least 6 hours of product research on hot items and im looking to double my income to 50k to 60k a month.

trick to 5 accounts you need 5 computers and dial up line that gives you different ip adress .. ebay sends cookies on your computer. so you cant have multiple accounts on 1 computer

it seems as everyone looking for a reputable drop shipper look out for my dropshipping site in about 6 moths .. im planning a trip to hong kong.

Another great ideal work with local stores and electronic stores they have liscense to sell and know the distrubuters for certain electronics work out a deal that you can move ther items that are just sitting on the shelf .. to them all money is good money even if its a small profit to them.

another thing to sell real designer clothes and bags etc .. you to visit outlet stores specially when they have sales. 70% off the retail price . i bought the lot of 20 bags of coach which retailed 450 bucks i got them for 65 dollars a piece.

by next year i will become a drop shipper and teach people to get into the business and buy from my online store ..thats key not just open a online retail store but become a drop shipper and start off small selling to people that u get into the business as well as ebay seller like your self.

another site to sell that dont care if you sell knock offs ioffer .com
use dhgate to sell bulk knockoffs .. i sold 10x pcs of an item for 750 dollars which cost me 459 inclucking shipping i made a close toals of little over 200. these people who are buying are interested in buying knockoffs so sell it to them cuz i do.

enough said ..... im saying too much and i might shooot my self in the foot posting this and make the competion steeper. but tbh i like to share the wealth.

I'm a DHGate wholesale expert and I concur with anicolas, DHGate does have alot of good items for consumption.

I've found alot of good legitimate over-run items there, and got rid of all of them.

The problem is they are only *certain* sellers, and you have to follow such a strict protocol its not funny. You have to do like a 20 question interview with the person on the other end and know what you're doing.

And then of course since the 'VERO' people will always be suspicious of brand name items, you need to make sure they are original overruns and not fakes.

While one seller could offer a supply of all legitimate items, after that they could have a full supply of knock-offs. Dealing with DH is sometimes risky, but its also rewarding. And like any wholesale source you should cross your Ts always- On any high end items.
