The site seems to have a diverse range of sources at good prices, has anyone tried using any of these wholesalers?

Hi,
I have uses several wholesalers that I found in Tradekey. They do have a diverse range of sources however 3 problems that I have run into. 1) almost all companies do not accept paypay or credit card payments which only leaves wire trans, bank trans. etc...not real secure. 2) All the items I bought were knockoffs (clothing) and some were very bad quality that I would not even sell. They won't accept returns and their way of resolving the problem is to send replacements in your next order. Made some money on Ebay selling these items but ebay shut me down and removed all my listings on 2 occassions due to 'trademark and authenticity misuse'. 3) Customs were a huge problem. Had my merchandise held in customs 3 times and 2 out of the 3 times I ended up paying customs charges. Example: clothing were $9/piece. Received 49 and the other 51 held and released from customs with a $429 charge. Now each piece cost $13.29. Get my drift?

Tradekey is full of scammers. Like l_paki said, most of em just sell knockoffs. You can't trust anyone on that site. It's so easy to become verified with them anyone can do it. Never use Western Union or bank transfer either.

I'm interested in gillette products, mach 3 razors etc. And I think i've found a good source from alibaba at excellent prices. He accepts paypal, and has given me website, phone number fax and other personal details. Even is now going to send me a free sample before I wish to buy more. So he seems promising.

I'm sure what you say is true, that there area a lot of scammers out there, but the site must also have real genuine sellers there as well. And also some products lend themselves to scamming more than others, laptops as you say being one, and other consumer electronics, ipods, psp's etc.
Perhaps its just a matter of doing due diligence, such as asking for all contact information, phone number and website etc. And perhaps also asking for a sample before you buy the product in full. Because most scammers would not have the products at all.
