Hey, I just joined about a week ago. I've spend that week looking tirelessly for something to sell. I started, like everybody else, looking for electronics. But, reality set in and I started looking for something else. I eventually settled on DVDs. I got excited after I read the bonus guide on getting new releases at Walmart. And, I was excited after going to Mountain Movies and seeing the 3.99 movies. But, after researching some of these movies, I don't know if it is worth spending $200 or $400 to get 75% dvds that nobody wants. How can I make money in this category, or should I get a new one?

dont just limit yourself to one category. Everyone and their mother starts out thinking, electronics, and DVDs, computer related items...clothing, sporting goods....the market is way too saturated to make a significant profit unless you sell in hig volume. but you can diversify, and sell a little of every category, and you can start very small, sell a couple DVDs and see how they do,etc... in addition, you can look into real niches, that can make for better profits, if you find good niches, but dont just limit yourself to one category, unless you find something that works. a lot of it is trial and error, so if you are hoping for a 7$profit from a $3 DVD, just give it a try, experiment, list it for $10 buy it now AND also a .99 auction, and see what happens. also, list it on Amazon, the traffic on amazon is great. also, try craigslist,etc.. ioffer is also possible. anyway, just my 2 cents, what do i know, ive been trying this for years, and have only so far acheived nothing but debt. :) good luck.... there are a lot of experts on here though that i am sure can provide you with much better advice...

Your advice is right on the money artpants...find that niche & don't be afraid to try several things at one time. List on multiple sites & just go for it Good luck NJVMAV59!
