Hello,

Does anyone know of any Wholesale Dropshippers that have Music, and Movie CDs, DVD's both new and old, that don't charge a membership fee. I checked out a link sent to me from Sellerhoo but they wanted a membership fee, and the ones listed here, don't really show new movies and music CDs, etc.

Thank you,
Aubrianna

Jimmy_Salehoo,

Thank you for the link that you referred me to. It would be perfect except that they are no longer accepting Wholesale Dropshipping applicants.

Is there another referral you can come up with that sells new movies releases (or relatively recent), and music CDs, DVDs, and videos.

I can certainly use another source through Salehoo which offers mainly vintage movies like the 1940s series of Sherlock Holmes and Nancy Drew, which is awesome. But another source of new stuff would be great.

Thank you for your efforts.

Please note I did check into the Chinese manufacturers to see what sort of media products are offered, and I have not seen any titles on the sites I visited so far.

I am new to all this so please bear with me, I am open to guidance of any kind.

Thank you again.

Kindly,
Aubrianna

I hate to break this to you but if your looking to sell new movies on ebay you wont make any big money. Most new movie sellers on ebay are powersellers but they arent making much money at all. The main reason is that the wholesale price of a new release is only 2- 3 dollars less then the retail average. If you impliment shipping and the selling price in to the equasion you would do lucky to profit at all.

Most people think they can buy new releases for 4-5 a piece and sell them for 12-20 but thats just not true. Any seller selling brand new movies for a dirt cheap price is either an idiot or a bootlegger.

Used movies has a profit potential but you need to make sure your pricing is just right if your to turn a profit.

Jimmy also i think alot of the CHEAPER NEW RELEASE prices may be due to the fact that some manager in the stock room is still looking for the dvds lol ..I have bought large lots before and got them and the price tags are still on from major department stores...Seems strange .

Jimmy_Salehoo...

Thanx for the information about selling and the poor profit potential for new releases.

I am new to selling and still in the process of doing research and sourcing. I don't use eBay, as it for me at this time, is too expensive with the insertion fees, reserve fees and closing costs, Etc. Though I feel the closing and listing fees are fair.

I did order the Auction Inspector and have been using that to get a general feel for the market place as a whole, being that eBay is the mother of all auction sites, and a model for others as well.

I want three products or product areas that will do well. It seems gaming is on top the #1, electronics is close to it, home accessories/furniture does pretty well, but am remiss in finding the formula for all three that work for me. That's why I thought the CD etc, area might work.

I will continue my research and am just about ready to list some gaming and electronic products soon. But would really like to get a much better price margin than I currently have.

I have contacted the Chinese companies I recieved in a link from Salehoo, but they have not responded yet to my emails. I suspect I will need to find an international calling plan, put it into place and give them a ring. As this might be important to do anyway, were a situation arise that I need to contact them. I need to really get some basic info from them like the return policy they might offer, should I run up against a situation like that. I feel I need this information before I start to list.

Any information you have would be appreciated.

Aubrianna :)

I have found several case lots of single movies like the matrix trilogies and spider man movies. They werent new releases but they were newer and still sealed with store tags on them.

What Im saying is its very rare to find a good deal on a NEW RELEASE lets say The day King Kong Was released on dvd. Those new releases are almost impossible to find in case lots where you can turn a profit because the manufacturers set the price. That similar to some past post I made where walmart looses several million dollars a year selling those new releases at $14.99 for the first 3 days of the initial release. They know that by having this deal they can get people into thier store. And as you know you cant walk into a wal mart without spending more then you originally intended too. Since they are actually paying wholesale 15.99 to 17.99 for the movies and the MSRP is $19.99 you can pretty much tell that a new release would not be very profitable to a EBAY seller.
