Why would a dropshipping company use escrow?

Hi skyichigo,

Sorry but we have not added that filter so it you will need to contact the dropshipper directly to check if they accept escrow.

I replied to a similar previous post of yours a few months back - Link hidden: Login to view

Cheers!

I wish you luck with the search sky, but I think you're going to find that there are very, very few suppliers in general who deal with escrow, and with dropshippers this is even more problematic because of the involvement of a third party -- ie. only you could release the escrow funds, but you're having to take the word of your customers whether or not goods arrived and are satisfactory, leaving the drop ship company in Limbo until two separate and distinct parties are satisfied. It's hard to imagine very many dropshipping outfits signing up for that arrangement.

I checked on salehoo, there is only DHgate and 1 more American website.

I thought I can use salehoo helps as I paid for the service...

But then I need to look for myself...

I'd seriously recommend contacting DHGate before you assume that their dropshipping is covered by their escrow plan. If you read the escrow page, you'll note it is impossible for the terms of clearance to be met in a dropshipping situation. I looked around a little and checked their forum to see if I could find a clarification on the matter, to no avail.

Again, for the reasons I tried to make clear above, I believe you're going to find escrow on dropshipping to be virtually impossible to get. And even if you can get it on DHGate, the number of items that can be individually dropshipped (vs. case packs) without being eaten alive by shipping charges are pretty small. You're letting your enterprise be boxed into a corner over fear of being ripped off, when smart business practices will generally protect you from that problem without having to compromise what it is you're trying to achieve for your business.

Impossible to add anything further to what Frank as outlined for you right there. That's absolutely spot on across the board!
