Hi,
I was wondering if anybody knows some information that I am after. I'm thinking about selling xbox 360's and nintendo DS lite. I was curious as to what is a good price to buy these? I'm not asking for suppliers, just prices.

Also, what is the bare minimum price that somebody can sell them without it being a fake? Also, please state the currency.

The reason I'm asking this is because I just received this offer below, and was wondering whether its good price, or if the price is too good to be true.

it's a scam, there is no way you can get all that for that price. And as for them saying it's authentic, there copy's. I myself can get these products from a reputable distributor, but not at those prices, scam mate, stay away.

Exactly what I thought. I got all these sellers from tradekey.com. Its amazing that I've had 3 sellers try and sell me nintendo DS lite for sub $100 including shipping. You would think if you are trying to scam sombody you would atleast you reasonable prices.

I was curious as to what one of them said to me though. He said that I could pay by Western Union, but he can't receive the money unless he knows the senders name. So he said to pay with a friends account, and when I receive the goods I then tell him the sender name and he can get paid. Does this actually work?

no that's part of the scam. You send the money to a third party which they work together, and he keeps the money and if your lucky they will send you some out of date product that's totally useless, or you don't recieve anything at all. Rather the latter one more likely. Anyway don't touch it, especially when they ask to be paid by western union. Here's a prime example of a scam website, have a look at these prices on there products, but don't buy it's a scam, Link hidden: Login to view

But the way he told me did not involve a third party though. He said to use one of my friends Western Union account to send him the money. And he cannot receive that money until I tell him the senders name. Sounded like a little bit TOO much protection for the buyer there. So I said to him

'what happens if i receive the items, and then tell WU that i never got them? By using this method, you stand to lose a lot of money because you can potentially be scammed. No smart seller would allow this method unless in fact it wasn't as safe and foolproof for me as you make it out of be.'

At that point he accused ME of being a scammer, yet was still eager to do business with me, which i found very funny.

But don't worry, there was no way that I was going to buy it anyway. Now back to my original questions...
Nintendo DS Lite - What is a good wholesale price for these? And how cheap is too cheap?

By the way (you probably know this already but just in case) telling WU that you didn't get your items isn't going to do anything.

because he is in australia, and walmart is in america. We don't have the the masses of people here as you do over there. About 25 to 30 mil here to 200 mil there, can't compete with those kind of masses.

Yes thats what I was thinking. So then what would happen if I didn't give him the sender name? WU sends the money back to me? WU keeps it? WU sends it to the seller anyway? The latter must be the only way that this scam can work.

wu can't release any money until you give the right information over to them for release, but if they are going to send you the product to look at first and then you pay, i can't see how that is an advantage to them. I have used this method before and they won't send any product unless you tell them your name. And lucky me i reciceved my goods and they were as discibed by the seller. Only one item was damaged and when i reported it to him he was happy to supply me with an extra item in my next order for the damaged one.

If your in Australia you can buy a nintendo DS from Big W for around $186 (correct me if im wrong) Hence Ebay would have prices that are abit lower than this standard ..... so if you are planning to sell the item on ebay you have to take into account shipping costs and fees...
Ideally you should look for a supplier that can sell them to you for at least $155 shipping included.

That said, if you look at the competition in Ebay you would see most sellers giving bonuses to add value to the DS(free games, case ect.) - the average price falls within the $190 mark... If you want my 2 cents, I think it would be tough competing, and even if you did your returns would be minimal, unless ofcourse u find a great supplier.
Hope that helps
Regards.

i know this is an old post but, if any1 is still reading this............ ds lite in u.s. is $129 and australia its $180? couldn't anybody in the us be a supplier? im sure shipping would be a lot but even at $10 per unit shipping (if its even that high?) would be $139 per unit plus $10 profit for me. thats $150 per unit for some1 in australia and maybe at least $30 profit for them. i know this post is old but, unless im totally missing something, this could work on a # of different products, which i probably am cause this is just of the top of my head and i know nothing about mailing to another country. any thoughts about this?
