Hello Everyone,

I'm a brand new member in SaleHoo. I thought this site is the place you will get contacts of suppliers you want, but most of the suppliers I found out are just retailers like me. The products they are selling are same price I would sell on eBay. Please help me out, or else I would try to take money back for this membership.

Welcome to SaleHoo, Shibly!

A lot of our members are very interested in sourcing Apple iPhones, iPods and the iPad because they are extremely popular. Unfortunately the requirements to source these wholesale are extremely high due to Apple’s desire to protect their brand value. If you want to source these items wholesale, you’ll need to fill out an application on Apple’s website and be able to meet a minimum annual purchase requirement of more than $100,000 and provide 2 business references – among other things. You can read the full requirements here: Link hidden: Login to view

Although there is no other way to legitimately source Apple iPhones, iPods and the iPad wholesale except through Apple themselves, you can source Apple accessories from a number of wholesalers and drop shippers. Here is a list of a few SaleHoo suppliers for Apple accessories:

(Don’t forget you need to find the Wholesale section on these supplier’s websites and either fill out an application form or contact them directly to get wholesale prices).

The other option to source Apple products is via liquidators. Liquidators can legitimately resell iPods, iPhones etc, but Apple won’t honor the warranty for products sourced this way.

Some liquidators of Apple products in our directory are:

Hope that helps get you started! If you need more supplier suggestions, or would like some other ideas for hot products to sell, please just let me know :)

Hi Shibly,

Here's a leading IT distributor in Australia. They have some of the products you are looking for (I have seen notebooks and cellphones in their inventory).

Hey richelle/irene,

I was about to bid for few stuff from www.liquidation.com but what I have found out that they are not trustworthy to do business with and you'll lose your money for sure. Just google "liquidation.com review"

Hi Shilby, there is a lot of misinformation getting around about liquidation.com. We have plenty of information about them here on the forum, just type liquidation.com into the search forum box on the top left and you will learn all about them.

Essentially there are a few pitfalls you really do need to look out for when dealing with them, but in general terms they are quite fine to deal with. It comes down to who you are dealing with on the actual site, as the sellers are all independent of liquidation.com themselves.

What tends to happen is people jump in without doing any research as the actual seller, or their products. Wind up getting burnt and then in retaliation try to brand the whole of liquidation.com as the bad, but that's far from the truth.

As I said, do a forum search, you'll find out all the good and the bad, then you can make a much better informed decision about dealing on the site.

fudjj is right again (as always..hehe). liquidation.com can be a great source, many have written about landing a really good deal there. But you have to come prepared when you go to liquidation.com. Why? Because there are various sellers in there so you are bound to come across several bad ones mixed with the good suppliers.

Reviews you find online are hard to verify, since you don't know the person who left the review so you shouldn't rely on those reviews totally without doing your own research.

Don't forget to ask the seller as many QUESTIONS as you can about the lot or products being auctioned.

All the best!

Hi Irene,

Can you please help me to find out liquidators or wholesalers of consumer electronics in Australia. I know there are loads of in USA but I can't trust anyone unless I fly there and check the products myself and its not possible for me to travel outside Australia now. So I'll be very much glad if you could help me to find something in AU.

Cheers
Shibly

Hi Shibly,

In my search outside of our database, I learned that Samsung in Australia allows a dealership program. You may register in their site to become their authorized reseller - Link hidden: Login to view

On the other hand, SONY resellers across Australia are supported by the SONY distribution network. You’ll find the contact details of your nearest SONY Authorised Distributor on this link
Link hidden: Login to view SONY distributors do not sell to the public.

For electronic components and equipment like subwoofer, portable TV, power supplies, connectors, transformers and cables –

I'll be back with you when I find other relevant information. Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
