No matter where I e-mail or try I cant seem to get my hands on PAL version PS3- Everyone is happy to sell NTSC version.

Can anyone help out with a supplier at a reasonable price of PAL?

I dont think you understand the ps3 as well as you have thought.

You dont need to search for specific games for ps3. Any game will work on every system.

Read this article if you dont believe me.

PS3 games are region free.

Well the thing is with the ps3 units they are still pal or ntsc format. BUt the games themselves will work on either. because the games dont have format limitations because they are region free.

The consoles still have to abide by the televisions standards.

The games are not.

This was advertised hevily at the E3 convention when the xbox 360 was put against the PS3.
Are you looking for games or the consoles?

I am after the games Jimmy-- I am selling them on AUS ebay but wont to be confident thatanyone who buys them in AUS will be able to play them.

I understand the games will work on the machine but will the TV's be an issue?

TV's You mean the buyers TV? That depends on the machine not the game itself.

OK, so I'm looking at importing console games into NZ and I came across this thread. As I understand it, the games themselves are all region free which means that a NZ customer can buy a NTSC game and play it on their NZ purchased PS3. This means that the only real issue for the customer is getting a console which will work on their TV as there can be some compatibility issues e.g. a customer tries to use a PAL PS3 on a NTSC TV.

So the fact that the games are NTSC isn't an issue for me because I'm only selling games and not consoles... am I right on this one? And does the region free standard apply to all Xbox360 and PS3 games?

Aaaaargh... I just read the IGN article again... so the real issue is between the format of the game and the TV type? So in other words, if I import NTSC games and everyone in NZ is using PAL TVs then it's screwed? Sorry, I'm just getting a bit confused here, any clarification would be appreciated :-)
