I am adding this thread to add some data into finding Ipods and selling them on eBay. Read this thread with conviction because you are running into a somewhat unknown source and reason for you not being able to buy Ipods at a good enough price to sell on eBay.

Has any heard of the Ipod freebie sites?

First you can get free Ipods as I have done this myself and for about 20$ in offer requirements.

I received a 2GB Ipod which was then going for about 250 when I did the deal.

You basically sing-up with one of the sites follow the offer requirements and then after a period of time you get a free Ipod.

THE REASON I state this is you are competing with people who do this as a side thing while they are in school.
There are college kids that do this all the time and get several Ipods. They then sell them on eBay at a great price.

I would say you are looking at half the new Ipods on eBay are being sold in this way.

STOP looking for Ipods at a competitive price to sell on eBay.

You won't find them or get yourself ripped-off.

Go to the freebie sites if you want go through the trouble and get a free one and then sell it.

In case anyone is interested. I have received a 2gb nano a 42inch plasma SDTV and two 2000$ gift cards to spend on anything I want for about 320$ by doing these sites.

If you are wondering sometimes how people are able to sell things brand new and so cheap, many are doing this.

Do You see PS3s, monitors, 360s, ipods, tvs etc... being sold by low FB seller on eBay for auction?
And wonder how they have the guts to do it and wonder how they are making money on the thing when its selling so low?

Well now you know!!

True but I don't understand why someone would get an iPod on those sites when they usually have cash options as well. One of the iPod ones I did had an option to get a 30gb iPod Video or $300 for completing the same thing. I took the money because it was way easier and I made more in the end.

There is actually quite a few people selling information on ebay for $1.00 and using thier referall codes to get buyers to sign up getting the seller the extra referal to get the freebie items.

I always wanted to try one of these freebie sites but was always afraid of all the junk phone calls, mail, and email that would result. Which ones are the easiest, and legit? Any tips?

Over the years there has been some change in the way these sites operate.

Used to be you only got the item. Now many of the sites are giving cash instead. But the cash value is always well under the value for the item/ipod.

When I was doing the plasma tv campaign, they tried to play games and offered me a 1000$ buyout. I stuck to my guns and said no. I want the plasma tv. As they were going for close to 1800 at the time.

A month later I received notice that the shipping company had my tv. I must admit I was pretty excited about it. And drove to the shippers warehouse to get it.

Anyhoo. If anyone wants any info on this let me know by PM

Interesting. We should ban together here and give referrals to each other.

If we got about 25 people we could run a nice little freebie game.

Are you kidding me? I'm not sure if we can post links here but there is a legit site that has an 80gb iPod Classic for 5 referrals or $300 for 6 referrals. Since the iPod costs $250 your making a lot more than your going to make if you sold it.
