I am in the process of starting my own online store. I wanna sell electronics accessories. Not the electronics themselves because that market seems kind of crowded. Things like carrying cases for laptops, digital cameras, and mp3's. Ipod and other mp3 accessories. Some computer accessories and ink cartridges maybe. Cell phone accessories. I have done hours of looking and just can't seem to find any dropshippers where i can make much of a profit or that will allow me to be competative price wise. I kind of am stuck using a dropshipper for the time being as most of my money is wrapped up in starting this business. i certainly dont have the cash to stock an entire store through a wholesale site, nor do I have the money right now to buy enough to get the price I would need. Does anyone have any ideas or maybe could point me in the right direction for these types of products. Are there any dropshippers that offer free shipping? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

go to dhgate.com. Their website is like ebay but everything is a fixed price, not an auction. Their prices are amazing and you will make a huge profit if you search enough. They don't dropship, but there is also no minimum order so you dont have to pay a lot.

thanks. i will check it out. I have looked a little bit through that site. I guess I'm just a little nervous about whether or not my products will actually make it here or not. So is dropshipping not the way to go or if i look enough can you find a good dropshipper also. I could use Dhgate to find stuff to sell on ebay but like I said. There is no way I can stock a whole store through buying products. maybe one step at a time is the way to go.

i definately reccomend getting stock rather than dropshipping. start out slow like i did and your profits will gradually get larger and larger until you can start buying larger orders. make sure that you look for sellers that except the escrow service with their products. escrow guarantees that you get your products. when you purchase the products you send the money to dhgate. once you receive the items and they have been inspected by you, you tell dhgate and they'll send the money to the seller.

Ok. I was wondering what escrow was. Protects both sides, taht is nice to know. yeah I think I might have to try to find a few products on that site that are hot on ebay and just start building profits from there. Are shipping costs reasonable coming all the way from china? How much of a dent will the shipping put in profit? By the way, thank you for your help. i really appreciate it.

The shipping is pretty bad with some of the sellers. The first time you buy something off of dhgate you get a $10 shipping discount. Also try to buy in as big of orders as you can as you will be paying less shipping per item if you do. Keep in mind that a lot of the items on this site are very high quality replicas, but they are replicas so be careful. Don't buy TOO much at a time as you're taking a chance of it getting stopped by customs. Make sure that everything you buy is going to come exactly how it would if you were to go buy it in a retail store. For example, some people selling camera memory cards sell them just in a little plastic case. If you were to go buy them in a store they would come in a big box. If customs were to search this item they would know that they weren't authentic and would most likely seize your shipment. Stay away from nike shoes as they get seized all the time (i had some seized). If you have any more questions please ask.

Ok, sounds a little risky but I guess if you take all the right percautions you should be alright. Probably have better success with people with high feedback. Yeah i noticed there was a lot of replica stuff on that site. Is it safe to say that if someone has a high feedback score that their products are authentic? Does customs only seize relpicas? Man, I would be pissed if i payed for some stuff and didnt get it because customs seized it. lol. I think i would rather get ripped off by a scam artist. What is the max you would ever order dollar wise at a time with the risk of seizure?

Oh yeah. Do the pictures of the products load for you when you search for them. i cannot see any of the products for some reason.

Feedback doesn't mean anything except that you'll receive the product. I purchased products from this one guy with over 100 feedback and it was replicas. Just make sure that it's identical to the authentic version and you should be alright. I try to limit my order cost to $500 or below.

Ok I will keep looking. It seems like even the people with a lot of feedback on the site have a lot of negatives. There seems to be a lot of problems with products showing up damaged.

that's where escrow comes in. if the products are damaged you can send them back and take action against them. everything i have ordered has turned up great though. i recommend using DHL or UPS.

Alright, one more question. I dont want to bother you too much. What types of products have you ordered that have gotten through customs and were genuine? Ohe yeah I dont know if you saw my post but that website is Link hidden: Login to view. The link to register is not working though. Atleast for me it isnt.

search motorola h700 on dhgate and one of the sellers that has them for $18 is one person i bought from. I don't remember their name though. Another guy on dhgate is James. That's his username. I bought sports equipment from him. They're both very good.

lol,
so the chances of getting the actual products are pretty slim I take it. I will continue to look. I have too much invested in this to give up. It gets frustrating with all of the scammers and rip off products you run into to say the least. It is very hard to find the great deals. They have to be out there though. I think that whoever is running that supplyshare may be on to something. As long as there is a way to protect all people involved. Might be the best way to get the best prices. Im very interested to see how that pans out.

all of the sellers on dhgate are very honest that i have seen. if you ask them if they are authentic they will usually tell you the truth. keep in mind that china is the biggest replica manufacturing country in the world

This is really a 'catch 22'. I mean when you boil it down, I mean really rip this topic of getting great deals apart.

Without great risk there is no great reward!

Yes there's is always a chance of getting ripped off when buying wholesale products. No doubt about it!

The only real thing you can do is just do your due diligence and research research research. Now this can be very very tideious!! I know as we put the supplyshare site together that we spend hours and hours talking to companies about their products and figuring out how legit the company is. It really comes down to the product you're looking for to determine how much time you spend researching companies. Is the product in very high demand? Is there enough profit? What is the best way to sell the product? Do i have a market for this product already? How much will shipping and taxes be?? (very tedious) Are there any regulations I should know about with this product? Soo many things to consider.

For example there is a certain product that we have been researching for a few months now... And finally we found a great company offering a great product at OUR price we were looking for. But a regulation change is US law squashed all that work... So we decided to work with the company to become approved again with the new regulations.....
It's all just a balancing act that you have to decide how much time you want to spend and where! Afterall 'Time is Money'
