You have to factor in the lousy exchange rate now, so it may be that after all is taken into consideration a local supplier may offer the best value, but some members might have some leads for you.

US Liquidated stock is merchandise cleaned out by US retail outlets, big and small.

The stock can contain customer returns, old stock lines, slow moving stock, damaged stock, overstocks and so on. This merchandise is sold to Liquidators for a small percentage on the original wholesale dollar, and then the liquidators resale to other brokers in the industry, and also direct to the public.

It all adds up to being about the cheapest stock you can actually find as the final sale price to the public is still below original wholesale.

That's the short version, lol....but it pretty much sums it up!

: )

There are liquidators right across the US, but you can type some product names into Google, along with the word liquidation, and that will usually turn some up.

Jimmy, the community manager here on the forum also runs is own liquidation business....www.ppwdg.com

he has his own feedback thread on here for members to comment, but unfortunately does not ship to Australia, as not all do. Even if you do find one that ships internationally you are still faced with the bad exchange rate that will hammer you on small purchases.

You would have to be looking at a container load I would think to make it anywhere near to cost effective for yourself to import at this point in time.

Of course you would also have to be careful about what products you bought, for example 110volts that they use in the States would not work here in Oz.

It is a frustrating source of products for many international members at the moment, a lot of people would like access to the market, but it's just not financially viable the way the money situation currently is.

Can't say that it is something that I have actually experienced, but I would PM jimmy direct to rectify. I really don't think there is anyone else awake in this place to actually help.

Anyways, welcome to the group.....while you may not always find us helpful, you should find us friendly enough......with the exception of the odd dummy spit or two : )

Good luck with your research.
