Hi There,

I'm looking to sell some products on eBay, and am looking for the best prices and most reliable suppliers.

Basically I'm looking to sell the following:

xBox
Nintendo Wii
Plasma and LCD TV's
iPod and iPhone
Computer Systems and Monitors

Thanks for any advice / help anyone can offer.

Steve

I'd suggest looking for a niche product to sell unless you have thousands of dollars to spend buying these items in bulk. The products you have listed are probably some of the most competitive and have some of the smallest profit margins. You need money money money to sell these because the only people making profit are sellers who can afford to buy hundreds of units at a time.
One option is to sell no-name brands of plasma TVs, computer systems etc. There is a market for cheaper models, even without the brand name (especially because everyone knows the same components used by Sony are used by Soniq etc).
However, ideally you should look at finding another niche unrelated to electronics. Sorry to dash your hopes but this is a very difficult area to profit in. You'll find that the Salehoo members who are most successful are selling to niche markets.

Hi Grace,

Thanks for your feedback.
Do you have any suggestions for a good niche to get started in?

My interests include Music, Sports, and pretty much all of the items I had listed.

Hi again Steve,

Music & sport sound good. I know quite a few people who've done well with music just by buying CDs from Walmart etc and reselling them on eBay for a profit. Not everyone lives near a big department store or music store and so they will often pay more for CDs. Buyers also notoriously under-research prices for music, so that can also work in your favor.

You can also buy them second hand and resell them too as long as they are in good condition and unscratched. All the classic rock bands are always popular, as are current chart toppers. Or if you are interested in a particular music style you can research that niche and find out what the demand is like.

There is quite a large collectors market for LPs too. However, that would involve a lot more time on your part sourcing them.

If you are wanting to import, you can look at no-brand musical instruments from China.
Unbranded sports equipment also sells well, although i advise staying away from golf equipment because that is very competitive.

Just start researching music titles and different types of sport equipment in eBay's completed listings and see what there is a demand for. Hope that helps :)
