Why is it that I can't find any Wii Consoles at a good price. The prices on the Salehoo list are high priced. I can get them online at kmart,Sears, and Walmart for $249. What up with that?

Consumer electronics are very competitive and are very hard to get at lower prices unless you are prepared top purchase huge quantities of them.

These companies have huge buying power which is why they can get them so much cheaper (they also run of much lower margins as they are turning over high quantities :) )

Hope this helps you understand why this is.

Where, cause if you can actually find them I want all of them. They are hard to find retail as demand is much higher then the supply. Its doubtfull you can find a single one for wholesale prices. I have so far purchased only 3 since they came out and still waiting on more to be avaliable.

The best way to make a profit selling electronics is buying them in bulk as you won't find any money to be made using a dropshipper for electronics usually.

Don't really think that you can get them for $219 anywhere. I would have to see it to belive it. Like I said before the cheapest I found them for was $243.50 and that's coming for the US.

Our mall is full of ALL of the game consoles.... all at 'low' prices (like $249 for the wii). So I'm wondering what all the hype is about? Why are people buying them on eBay if they can get them at the mall and skip the shipping fees? Are they sold out elsewhere?

Do you think they'll be hot this holiday season? Would it hurt to 'stock up' at the normal retail prices and let them bid it out at Christmas time?

I think that they will be hot this Holiday season. I am starting to stock up. I have alerts setup to all department stores so when they come in I normally pickup a few. My normal wholesaler is out for a week or so, so I have been getting online. Might be better to stock up on these, after seeing PS3 sales not good, and don't think the new 80GB PS3 is going tp be either.

I know they were really hot last year.... my stepdaughter wanted the Nintendo DS, and since all the wiis sold out, everything ELSE sold out too- people were settling for the DS and PSP... But what if the wii doesn't sell out? Or are we sure it will? lol. I'm kinda nervous about getting stuck with a bunch of them. Did you find a good wholesaler? That's awesome.... betcha won't share will ya? ;)

Well, one of the mail reasons, that people are buying them on ebay, is that not everybody lives close to a mall. I used to sell merle norman cosmetics on ebay and couldn't keep enough in stock. Most of my customers told me that the reason they bought from me was that they loved the makeup, but didn't like to drive an hour to the nearest MN Store.

Too, don't forget that ebay is open 24/7. Not everyone has a 9-5 job. People who work the night shift find it rather hard to find anything open at midnight when they get off of work...

And yes, it would probably be fairly safe to assume that they will still be hot at christmas again. Just remember this, that alot of people don't have time to get out and shop, so now days they tend to do alot of it online. Also there are alot of 'last minute shoppers out there too. When the shopping days start running out, all of the popular stuff will be flying off of the shelfs and if they can't get that they will go to the next closest product...

Yes the truth of the matter is there is only an estimated 12% of the global population shopping online. And this trend will continue to grow. I live in illinois there are many people in my state that live up to 30-75 miles from the nearest electronics store or mall. There are wal-marts everywhere but some are still 30 miles away. It is more convenint for people to buy online then drive to a local store. And some will save money on gas rather then drive.

You might have many Wii consoles where you live but most places in the USA are sold out of them too.

I myself would rather order online because I cant take my wife anywhere without her grabbing the credit card and spending an additional 300 bucks on crap I dont even want :D

Mine come from Gerogia, I am from Michigan, and I fly and buy, the MOQ for them is 600 though, they are licensees who sell the over stock of p.r. if there is any left. So the supply flow is pretty intermitten at the best. Thats how I get mine. So for $219 for 600 is possible. On the flip side, for lower amounts i.e. 10, like I said before, I get from Japan. It pays to travel the world sometimes, you meet a lot of people that can help you out in the future.
