Hi Everyone,

Well I've been dropshipping things for about 3 weeks now, and have been spending countless hours everyday searching for things to sell from the suppliers mentioned on here but so far have had no luck finding something that isn't either cheaper on eBay already or where I don't need a re-sellers certificate or the like. It's so difficult to find anything in Australia that I can actually sell and somebody would want to buy also! I realise that nobody wants to give away their secrets or suppliers, but if anyone can guide me in the right direction I would be so appreciative! I'm not trying to make a million, just a bit extra on the side, say $250 a week would be fantastic!

On another note, are the fees on eBay ridiculous? All up I've sold $4500 worth of stock in the 3 weeks but after paying the supplier (all DHgate so far) and the exorbitant eBay fees I've made around $500. Is this a number I should expect?

Please help!!

Kind Regards

Shane

Hi Shane,

Why not try selling a few things that you find around your home, especially those that you've been hiding in your closet (since who knows when) or things that you no longer use. These things may seem useless to you but you never know how valuable these could be to others. This way you don't have to spend money buying products yet you make money. FYI: there is a growing market for vintage things...so you may want to give this a try.

With regards to eBay, yes, their fees among other things are a bit outrageous. If you feel that you're barely making profit there try selling on other sites, like Bonanzle, eCrater, eBid to mention a few.

Here are a few blog articles that may help:

I guess for starters $500 is a decent sum, it may not be as big as you expected, but then again $500 is $500. Don't you think?!

Don't give up...Just keep on selling... =D

All the best!

Have to agree with Richelle, $500 clear profit for a few weeks Drop Ship trading is a pretty solid start in my book. Just try to establish that now over the next few weeks and then look at other avenues to increase it bit by bit.

Cheers

Hi guys thanks for the information and support, I appreciate it. I still haven't managed to find anything that I want to dropship that I can import for a good price to Australia, but I'll keep looking! On another note my ebay dropshipping is doing pretty well, I made another $450 profit this week. Gotta be happy with that!

hey Shane, I just stopped by to read your post and guess I expecting to read that you were having no luck selling anything or even worse, lost money or something along those lines. Well I have to say your post has given me some motivation to get started on selling something, still not sure what! You seem to be getting off to a good start as you are actually making money and I guess that initially it will be a quite a lot of research and work. I'm actually living in France and dont like the idea of importing stuff but do like the idea of dropshipping and to be honest quite scared to just dive in and give it a go. So I'd like to say well done and thank you for giving me some hope!

Kindest Regards

Joanna.

Hi Joanna,

I'm glad I've given you some inspiration! I must say that I've found all the research so hard and time consuming, and at times I've wondered if its all worth it. But then I remind myself how much I actually enjoy his whole selling game! I find it really fun, even when 3/4 of the things I find are either crap or I can't get a good price for! Good luck with it, don't give up!

Shane
