Dropshipping from Chinavasion - Please share your experience

Does any body is doing business with Chinavaision? I want to know how much i should charge my customers for shipping before the grand opening of my website,i didn't get a straight answer from the company either.Thanks

Chinavision, allows you to calculate shipping per item (if you use their shipping ), I usually allow a couple of more dollars.. on top, just to cover myself.

Quite right you need to work out what shipping methods you will use yes air mail is cheaper but painfully slow, and your customers wont be happy waiting 2 weeks or more for their purchases, so i factor in DHL shipping (most expensive but quickest) and usually use EMS (second quickest) or others depends where the items are going. So you need to factor that into your price and shipping costs so you still can skim something of the top for profit while still be able to be offer a competitive price.

CHINAVASION - WARNING FOR CUT AND PASTE OF PRODUCT TEXT

Please be aware that if you are using Chinavasion and cutting their text and pasting it on your own website, that the embedded "Text-Enhanced" links which appear as blue underlined text open up a web page from Chinavasion with the very product you are selling... BUT with the Chinavasion cost prices.

It is effectively ambush marketing where you are directing your customers back to Chinavasion to buy from them at wholesale.

Make sure that you re-edit all your pasted text from Chinavasion to ensure that your customers stay with you!

I complained tonight, but the representative did not seem to appreciate the gravity of the problem, and invited me to simply re-edit the text myself.

BE WARNED!

What's the problem exactly? That is a serious charge to level against a company ("ambush marketing") when it is not caused by them, but by you copy and pasting the content of their website, and the nature of the code underlying the links.

@GlobalPhoenix: The reason may very well be as described by Frank in his post. We have always suggested and recommended creating as well as using your own product descriptions/listing titles to help make your listings stand out from the many other sellers also sourcing from the very same dropshipper.

I learnt the hard way when one of my customer's tore me to pieces because the text-enhanced link brought him to the exact same item in Chinavasion and my customer was able to directly compare their wholesale and my retail prices... Always been so delighted with Chinavasion's innovative products, customer service, etc... I now have to rework dozens of my eBay items to edit out the link... Cheers!
