As the title reads, I'm based in England, and am planning on dropshipping goods from China to the US by delivering the product directly to the buyer via AliExpress

My question is, is there any import tax rate I would have to pay importing the goods from China to the US? Or would this be covered by the seller on AliExpress?

Thank you,

Isaac

Hi Issac and welcome to the forum,

Doubtful you would be selling anything expensive enough to incur any tax at the US end, but even if you did, that tax would be charged to the buyer by US Customs.

You would need to confirm because I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the US now has a $800 threshold.

Cheers

Sounds excellent. I'll look into it a little further.

Thanks,

Isaac

Just shoot US Customs an email, they'll confirm it for you, but I'm pretty sure :)

Anything with a declared value less than $800 won't be taxed if it comes in by mail / courier.
