I think ebay has the best built in features for tracking sales reports and monitoring flow. I would suggest you look into ebays own programs. They are for an added cost though.

ebay has its own listing program - turbo lister, saves loads of time. terapeak or ebay's own solutions would be good for research.

Auctiva is a very good site and I use them all the time.

If you have or build your own templates than maybe turbolister is better because you don have to wait for the site to load to the next step.

I use my own templates and activas templates and do a double whammy.

I dont use turbolister myself I just use ebays normal selling tool and I use Macromedia Dreamweaver to actually design and modify my listings. Its an essential tool for ebay.

dreamweaver i think is a good tool but you need to know your html, css, etc. fairly well to take full advantage of that program. it's pretty expensive for most of us common folk :) I like using frontpage, very similar to dreamweaver - cheaper too

if you have office, Excel is great for tracking and organizing your inventory and sales info. you can easily use Office to graph your results and seek room for growth

you can use ebay sales report and traffic report to see your sales information and traffic going to your listings. they are very useful. In terms of listing tool, I would suggest to use auctiva. it has lots if nice features, which will definitely save lots of time. Also, you may need to use photoshop to modify your photos. for example, you can add red color to highlight your picture. by this way, you highlight your listing out again other listings without paying anything. but it takes your initial time to set it up. there are lots of strategies to boost your listings. it is all about creative idea...
