Gift items - are these good to drop ship?

Hello,

Do you think gifts business it is a good way to dropship ? I've heard about the dropshipper "Puckator" in UK and i have good references.

Just a personal opinion, but I've always like the gifts genre as a market, although I don't think I would ever just rely on that genre itself. As part of an over all product range, I think it could be a really good avenue and of course one that you could ad to quite easily over time.

I think there is a great opportunity in drop shipping gifts. You may mix this with other genre and/or focus on one particular market, such as 'personalized baby gifts'. I see this line showing great promise not only for families with a newborn. Be creative and think of ways to present your product to create a need. You can tell companies to welcome the latest 'member' into their business. Some drop shippers can arrange to customize their products and you may personalize your gifts. The person who receives this will get the positive thought that the sender has put some thought into buying the gift.

You know this product range deliveries all sorts of opportunities in developing your own custom made selection. Take a look around at places like gourmet food suppliers, even craft markets where you can find things like home made bath soaps, gels and the like.

Hand made chocolates, candles and so on, the sky is the limit with this genre... even lends itself well to custom packages where you can offer to build a basket around a product profile.

I think the genre also lends itself very well to developing an independent website to increase your marketing options.
