Hi GR,

I had a look online for some reviews on PayMate US but I was unable to find any except for this: Link hidden: Login to view (eBay Canada). The move to the US was just recently so maybe in the next few months, we will hear more about them as they take on the world.

The good thing about their US payment service is this (qouted from their website):

'Paymate makes payments, usually after one business day, directly into sellers' bank accounts without any transfer fees or clearing delays.'

But as stated in the eBay Canada Guide (see link posted above), the prerequisites don't seem easy to attain by some of us specially those who are just new to online selling.

-->eBay sellers must have a Total Feedback Count of at least 100 in the last 180 days with Positive Feedback Rating of at least 98%.
-->Sellers should be able to project at least $36,000 in sales via Paymate in the next 12 months.

Cheers,

fudjj

I can tell you that the services provided in Australia are first class. 24 hour transaction time, over night if the payment is received by 4pm Sydney time.

Never have a problem with customers service, always very prompt and deliver a fully serviced response, and very low transaction fees. For those that aren't aware, they also offer online shops through Paymate Shops, so check that out as a selling option.

If they provide half the service in the US that they do here, it would still be light years ahead of PayPal for my money GR.

Thank you for the info fudjj. I appreciate it. I am just looking into signing up an account with Paymate because of their low fees. My merchant account which is merchantinc.com is Great but there is a fee of $119 annually for their security metrix which is not mentioned on their website. So I am trying to look for another merchant account at the moment and Paymate seems like they have a good service and no annual fee or no monthly fees. Thanks again fudjj. Hopefully they'll approve me right away. I heard from other members here in US that it'll take awhile to get set up with them. Well, I just have to see =)

Regards,
GR =)

I think there was some third party issues in setting up in the US in the early days, but hopefully most of them have been over come now, but definitely an option that everyone should seriously consider.

Good luck with it GR

I can just add my two cents worth. I used Paymate all the time here in Australia and I have been very happy with their service. I like the added bonus of them paying direct into my bank account. It's usually only two days at most till payment is deposited and their fees are lower than those of paypal. Their telephone customer service is also very professional.

Difficult I can do right away. Impossible takes a little longer
