Hi
does anyone know of a supplier of rolled gold jewellery, sometimes called filled gold?
Basically it is gold jewellery that is filled with other inexpensive alloys, usually sterling silver or copper. The jewellery is as strong, and wears as well as solid gold. It is not electroplated or dipped.
I personally have a copper filled gold bangle that i have worn everyday for 3 years and it is still as good as any of my solid gold ones; I am really keen to find a supplier.
I have seen this product do really well on ebay and i want a piece of it! :)
Thanks

try wholesalerwholesaler.com they sometimes come up with decent stuff. Dont fall for the solid gold crap they sell, its paper thin and worthless.

You could try Link hidden: Login to view.

They have about 8000 extra gold products available to approved resellers that aren't available to regular customers of their online store. The process is free and not too difficult, and they dropship. There are no MOQ. Once you're approved, you can access the special part of their site with the extra catalogues and pricing.

They do not do gold plated brass/copper, only gold plated silver. They also have a range of solid gold as well. Pricing for plain gold and silver products depends on the weight of the item - the weight is listed in the product catalogue, and you're given the cost per gram, and you work it out that way.

There is also an extra 13% discount added on items for approved resellers.

The other interesting thing about them is that when you're an approved reseller they have freebies and heavily discounted jewellery (eg say CZ earrings/pendants, for instance) that they make available one per order so that you can give them as customer rewards and incentives to keep your customers coming back.

You can also customise jewellery to a certain extent so that you are not selling the exact same thing as someone else. I do find the design choices for this option limited.

On the down side - their ring settings are extremely ugly!!!!

Hmm..right address, but it does seem to be down at the moment. I've been circling around this site for the past 2 months and it seemed to check out OK.

I've emailed their support team and notified them of the broken link. I've also asked them what the problem is and when it can be up and running again.

I haven't ordered from them yet but was thinking of doing so soon. I guess this is our test to see how their customer support responds. If they don't respond, I'll also let people know in this post.

I'm starting to get really paranoid after hanging around Salehoo. I now panic whenever there's a technical hitch on any site, since I'm almost getting to the stage where I trust no wholesale firm...

I just realised that I posted the wrong url!!!!! See what late night web surfing does for you?

It should have been Link hidden: Login to view. I've just checked, and that one is definitely working.

Meanwhile, I did get a reply from their sales staff asking me what link I used, and they are going to check it out. That was what I saved in favourites, so it must be a link that should be working, or else they would have just told me it was the wrong one. But they are going to check it out and get back to me.

Like I said, the rings are pretty ugly settings (at least in my humble opinion - ie I'm not in the least bit tempted to buy one for myself) . But the gold and silver chain catalogues have heaps of different chain designs and are comparable to other fine jewellery stores. And they have Italian made and Korean made ones to choose from (items are clearly labelled in their catalogues as to which is which). So it's worth it to apply for consideration as a reseller to get access to those. Probably worth having as part of your personal trade resources.

Almost forgot - secure payment types.
