How we evaluated these suppliers

The Australian dropshipping market has a long tail of suppliers, and not all of them deserve your first order. We weighted our shortlist against six criteria that actually move the needle for new and growing sellers:

  1. Warehouse location and shipping speed. Australian-based stock wins in every category that isn't hyper-niche. Local suppliers regularly deliver to metro addresses in 2 to 5 days. Offshore suppliers often need 10 to 20.
  2. Shopify and marketplace integration. A native app or tested API cuts hours of manual work per week. We favor suppliers that sync stock and forward orders automatically.
  3. Pricing and fee structure. We weighed upfront costs (subscription fees, minimum orders), per-order costs, and honesty about total cost of ownership. Hidden fees are penalized.
  4. Vetting and reliability. We looked for suppliers with verifiable business histories, clear returns policies, and track records in the Australian market. For directories like SaleHoo, we verified how suppliers are screened before listing.
  5. Product range fit. Not every store needs 100,000 SKUs. We note where a supplier genuinely specializes and where its range is broader.
  6. Return policies and Australian Consumer Law fit. ACL is non-negotiable for sellers based in Australia. Suppliers that make consumer guarantees easy to honor got a bump.

We've avoided ranking suppliers by "biggest catalog." Bigger isn't better. Right-sized and reliable is better.

The 8 best Australian dropshipping suppliers for 2026

1. SaleHoo Directory: Best for accessing vetted Australian and global specialists in one place

Best for: Sellers who want to compare multiple suppliers across niches, including Australian specialists that don't advertise publicly, and want pre-screening built in.

Product range: Over 2.5 million products from more than 8,000 suppliers across every major category. A significant portion are Australian-based; the rest span the US, UK, Europe, and Asia.

Warehouse: Varies by supplier. Filter by country of origin or shipping destination.

Shopify integration: SaleHoo Dropship connects directly to Shopify for one-click product imports from supported suppliers.

Pricing: Plans start from $9month billed annually. Product research tools, training, and 24/7 support are included.

Shipping speed: Varies by supplier. Many Australian suppliers in the directory dispatch within one business day.

Notable caveat: SaleHoo is a directory and research platform, not a single-vendor dropship service. You're getting access to suppliers, and you still do business with each supplier directly.

The honest take: SaleHoo's role in your stack is different from a Dropshipzone or an Ozdingo. Those are suppliers. SaleHoo is where you find suppliers, including the Australian specialists profiled later in this guide. It pays for itself the first time it saves you from a scam or surfaces a niche wholesaler you'd never find on Google. If you're building a specialist store (eco-baby, premium coffee, organic skincare, craft hobby gear), this is where you start.

2. Dropshipzone: Best for fast local fulfillment

Best for: General stores and Shopify sellers who want Australian warehouses, real stock sync, and no subscription commitment.

Product range: Over 100,000 SKUs across appliances, baby and kids, fitness, furniture, home and garden, and tools. Broad enough for a general store, curated enough to avoid AliExpress sprawl.

Warehouse: Melbourne, Victoria. All orders ship from Australian warehouses.

Shopify integration: Native Shopify app with one-click product import, plus a custom API for other platforms.

Pricing: Free to register. You'll need an active ABN or ACN. No monthly fees or subscription tiers.

Shipping speed: Typically 2 to 5 business days to metro addresses.

Notable caveat: Customization options like branded packaging are limited. If your value proposition is a premium branded unboxing, you'll feel that constraint.

The honest take: Dropshipzone is the default answer for most new Australian Shopify sellers in 2026. The combination of local warehouses, no-fee access, and a mature Shopify integration is hard to beat, and the ABN requirement is a light filter that helps keep the supplier ecosystem serious.

3. Spocket: Best for curated international suppliers with AU shipping options

Best for: Sellers who want higher-quality imported goods with faster shipping than AliExpress can offer.

Product range: More than 100 million products across 18 core categories, weighted heavily toward US, EU, and Australian suppliers. You can filter for AU-origin items specifically.

Warehouse: Supplier-dependent. Filter for "Ships from Australia" to get local dispatch.

Shopify integration: Native Shopify app with automated inventory sync and one-click order forwarding.

Pricing: Starter plan begins at $39.99/month, with higher tiers (Professional, Empire, Unicorn) unlocking more products and features. 0% transaction fees on all plans.

Shipping speed: 3 to 7 business days for Australian-origin items; longer for US or EU dispatch.

Notable caveat: The paid subscription adds a fixed cost even before you've made your first sale. If you're still validating a niche, this can feel early.

The honest take: Spocket is for sellers who care more about product quality and speed than catalog size. If you've outgrown AliExpress and your customers are complaining about cheap packaging, Spocket is a credible upgrade path.

4. Ozdingo: Best for general merchandise with same-day dispatch

Best for: Sellers in lifestyle, health, beauty, pet, and homeware niches who want reliable dispatch and free shipping as a customer promise.

Product range: Broad spread across homewares, health and beauty, pet supplies, fitness, and general lifestyle goods. Practical products, not trend-chasing.

Warehouse: Brisbane, Queensland. Orders usually dispatch the same business day.

Shopify integration: Via Ozdingo Connect, a paid subscription that handles inventory and product management.

Pricing: Free to register for the dropshipper program (ABN required). Ozdingo Connect is $10/month per 10 SKUs.

Shipping speed: 1 to 4 business days to metro addresses. Many products include free shipping Australia-wide.

Notable caveat: The Connect subscription is tied to SKU count, which can add up as your catalog grows.

The honest take: Ozdingo is the best "dependable second supplier" on this list. It pairs well with Dropshipzone or SaleHoo, giving you same-day processing on fast-moving everyday categories.

5. Printful: Best for print-on-demand with Aussie fulfillment

Best for: Sellers building a branded apparel, accessories, home goods, or merch store who want custom products fulfilled locally.

Product range: 250+ customizable products including T-shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs, wall art, tote bags, and phone cases. Every item is made to order.

Warehouse: Two Australian fulfillment centers (Brisbane and Melbourne) plus a global network for international orders.

Shopify integration: Native Shopify app with mockup generation, order routing, and automated fulfillment.

Pricing: Free account. You pay per order at Printful's base cost, plus printing. No monthly fees for the core service.

Shipping speed: 2 to 5 business days to Australian metro addresses for items fulfilled locally.

Notable caveat: Base costs are higher than off-the-shelf wholesale, so your retail prices need to support that. Custom product businesses typically run higher ticket sizes to compensate.

The honest take: If your brand lives or dies by custom design, Printful is the category leader with genuine Australian fulfillment. The local fulfillment center is the difference between "2-week wait" and "arrived in a week," and that's the difference between a refund request and a five-star review.

6. Factory Fast: Best for home, garden, DIY, and furniture

Best for: Stores focused on home improvement, outdoor living, fitness equipment, and larger-ticket furniture.

Product range: Home, garden, DIY, furniture, fitness gear, and outdoor goods. Strong on items that would be expensive and slow to ship from overseas.

Warehouse: Sydney, NSW. All orders ship from Australian facilities.

Shopify integration: Manual or CSV-based. You'll handle some work by hand compared with app-driven platforms.

Pricing: Free to register for their reseller program.

Shipping speed: 2 to 6 business days to metro areas, longer to remote regions given product size.

Notable caveat: Integration is the weak link. If you're new to dropshipping, plan to spend extra time on order management, or pair Factory Fast with a more automated primary supplier.

The honest take: Factory Fast is where you go if your niche needs bulky, domestic-shipped goods that aren't worth the freight from China. The manual integration is friction, but for the right store, it's worth the tradeoff.

7. Kogan: Best for electronics and mainstream consumer goods

Best for: Sellers targeting broad consumer audiences with electronics, appliances, or everyday goods.

Product range: Electronics, appliances, home goods, toys, and apparel. Essentially Australia's largest online retailer operating as a dropshipping supplier.

Warehouse: Multiple Australian warehouses with a nationwide courier network.

Shopify integration: Native app with automated sync.

Pricing: Free account. Prices are at retail level, so margins can be thinner than wholesale-focused suppliers.

Shipping speed: 1 to 3 business days to most metro locations.

Notable caveat: Retail-level pricing compresses your margin. Kogan works best when you add value through bundling, branding, or niche curation, not when you compete on price.

The honest take: Kogan's speed and reliability are excellent. The catch is that customers can easily price-check you against Kogan directly. If you're competing on convenience or presentation rather than raw price, this is a strong supplier. If you're competing on price, look elsewhere.

8. iDropship: Best for branded and high-ticket products

Best for: Boutique and premium stores selling Australian-made or high-margin products with a fully branded customer experience.

Product range: Curated selection of premium and Australian-made goods, weighted toward higher-ticket items (home goods, specialty products, select electronics).

Warehouse: Melbourne, Victoria.

Shopify integration: Private API integration. Setup is more involved than a plug-and-play app.

Pricing: No monthly fees. You're essentially paying in margin on each product.

Shipping speed: 2 to 5 business days to metro, with white-label packaging as standard.

Notable caveat: The catalog is narrower than general-purpose platforms. This is a supplier you pick for specific products, not as a catch-all.

The honest take: iDropship is the right choice if your store lives in the premium tier and your customers care about the unboxing moment. White-label shipping and high-ticket margins can offset the smaller catalog and more involved setup.

Match me to a supplier

Every store is different. Here's how to pick based on what you're actually building.

If you're brand new and testing your first product: Start with the SaleHoo Directory to research suppliers across niches, then place your first few orders through Dropshipzone for the fastest path to local fulfillment.

If you're a Shopify seller and shipping speed is the priority: Lead with Dropshipzone or Ozdingo as your primary supplier. Both dispatch quickly from Australian warehouses with solid Shopify hooks.

If you're building a custom-branded store: Printful is the clear pick. Pair it with the SaleHoo Directory if you want to add branded accessories from specialist suppliers.

If you're selling high-ticket or premium goods: iDropship for branded experience and high margins. Use the SaleHoo Directory to surface niche Australian wholesalers (see the specialist directory below for examples).

If you're running a niche boutique (eco-baby, organic skincare, craft hobby, premium coffee): The SaleHoo Directory is where you'll find specialist wholesalers that don't appear on platform-style services. We've included 40+ such suppliers below.

If you want to diversify beyond a single vendor: A common 2026 setup is Dropshipzone for general goods, Printful for branded apparel, and SaleHoo Directory to surface niche suppliers as you expand into new categories.

Why Australian suppliers are worth it in 2026

Australian-based suppliers cost a little more than their offshore equivalents. They're worth it, and here's why.

Shipping speed translates directly to customer satisfaction. Metro delivery in 2 to 5 days is the baseline expectation now. A 2 to 4 week wait from a Chinese warehouse reads as a cheap store, even when the product is fine. Local supply is a marketing advantage, not just a logistics decision.

Australian Consumer Law favors the buyer. Under the ACL, your customers have automatic guarantees around product quality, fitness for purpose, and accurate description. Offshore suppliers often have no interest in supporting returns. Australian suppliers do, because they're subject to the same law. That protects your margins and your reputation.

Return logistics are simpler. A faulty product returned to a Sydney warehouse is a minor issue. The same product returned to a Shenzhen warehouse is a refund you eat.

Currency exposure shrinks. Pricing in AUD end to end removes the constant recalculation of margins against a moving exchange rate.

Trust signals compound. "Ships from Australia" on a product page measurably lifts conversion, particularly in homewares, baby goods, health, and food. Customers read it as a quality cue.

The tradeoff is narrower product selection and slightly higher unit costs. For most Australian stores, that tradeoff now clearly favors local supply.

How to connect an Australian supplier to your store

Integration determines how much of your day goes into order management versus growth. Here's what to expect.

Option 1: Native Shopify app. The easiest path. Dropshipzone, Spocket, Printful, Kogan, SaleHoo Dropship, and several others offer official Shopify apps. Install, connect your supplier account, import products with one click, and let the app sync stock and forward orders. This should be your default unless you have a specific reason to go manual.

Option 2: API or data feed. Some suppliers (iDropship is a good example) offer private API access or periodic data feeds. This takes more setup but gives you more control. Tools like Stock Sync make feeds manageable for non-developers.

Option 3: Manual or CSV. Smaller and specialist suppliers (many of the SaleHoo Directory specialists, plus some niche wholesalers) will expect you to list their products manually or through CSV imports, and place orders by email or through their dealer portal. This is fine at low volume and actually keeps relationships closer. Once you're processing dozens of orders a day, automate the supplier or find a comparable one that will.

A practical recommendation: Most successful Australian Shopify stores run one automated primary supplier (for volume) plus one or two specialist suppliers (for margin and differentiation). Keep your main workflow simple, then add complexity only where it earns its keep.

For the deeper technical walkthrough, see our Shopify dropshipping guide and our guide to dropshipping software.

Shipping and fulfillment: what Aussie buyers expect in 2026

Australia's geography makes shipping more interesting than most markets. Here's what to plan for.

Metro delivery (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide): 2 to 5 business days is the standard expectation. Several suppliers on the shortlist above can hit 1 to 3 days.

Regional centers: 3 to 7 business days from Australian warehouses.

Remote areas (WA interior, NT, Tasmania, remote QLD): 5 to 10+ business days. Some suppliers add a remote-area surcharge or won't ship certain categories (large furniture, oversize goods).

Offshore delivery windows: 10 to 20 business days from Asia, longer from the US and EU. Even with express options, offshore fulfillment is rarely competitive with local on speed or cost once you factor in customs.

Free shipping as a customer promise: Two common setups work. Either bake shipping into product pricing and offer "free" shipping sitewide, or offer free shipping above a cart threshold (typical thresholds are $50 to $100). Australian shoppers respond well to the threshold model for larger baskets.

Return obligations under ACL. If a product is faulty, misdescribed, or not fit for purpose, your customer has a right to a refund, repair, or replacement under Australian Consumer Law. This right exists regardless of what your store's return policy says, and it's you (the seller), not the supplier, who the customer will hold responsible. This is the single strongest argument for using Australian suppliers: they operate under the same law you do, and they'll support returns. Offshore suppliers often won't.

Dropshipping is legal in Australia. A few things to line up before you start:

Get an ABN. If you're trading as an Australian business (sole trader or otherwise), you'll want an ABN. Many Australian suppliers require it for wholesale access. Registration is free through the ATO and usually takes a day or two.

Understand GST. If your turnover is $75,000 or more annually, you must register for GST. Below that, it's optional. Read our dropshipping taxes overview and speak to an accountant before your first big tax return.

Know Australian Consumer Law. The ACL gives your customers statutory guarantees on everything you sell. Read the ACCC's guidance, or get a lawyer's read if you're scaling fast. The short version: sell what you describe, make sure it works, and sort out problems quickly.

If you're based overseas but targeting Australian customers, you don't need an ABN, but you'll want to understand GST thresholds for non-resident sellers and the import tax rules. Our full guide to setting up a business in Australia covers this in more detail.

This is general information, not legal or tax advice. Every business is different; check with a qualified professional before acting.

FAQs

Yes. You'll want an ABN if you're trading seriously, and you'll need to comply with Australian Consumer Law on product quality, descriptions, and refunds. GST kicks in at $75,000 annual turnover.

Technically no for a very small hobby setup, but yes in practice. Most Australian wholesale and dropship suppliers require an ABN for account access. Registration is free and quick.

Yes. You don't need to register an Australian business to sell into Australia, but you may have GST obligations depending on sales volume, and you'll still be subject to ACL guarantees on anything sold to Australian customers. Offshore sellers often get caught out on returns.

Use a vetted directory (the SaleHoo Directory pre-screens every supplier), require an ABN for AU suppliers, place a small test order before listing a product, and read third-party reviews where available. Our guide to spotting dropshipping supplier problems covers the common warning signs.

Currently strong: sports equipment, pet supplies, sustainable and eco-friendly goods, baby and toddler, home and garden, health and wellness, and specialty food and beverage. For live data on what's selling now, see SaleHoo Insights.

Most successful stores mix. Use Australian suppliers for your core products (where shipping speed and ACL matter most), and supplement with offshore suppliers for items local vendors don't carry. The shortlist above is a practical starting point.
