Hi All,

My name is Simon. My wife and I are looking into trying out dropshipping. I don't know which product yet except it will probably be a specialised range of items. Anyone had experience with MK Enterprise in Hong Kong? Also, how do you deal with possible Import Duty being charged here to the customer in the UK? Do you advertise and place a disclaimer that duty may be charged or find out the cost and pre-charge this?

Regards,
Simon Plant

Hi Simon,
Generally goods over 20 pounds in value are charged import duty. It's definitely good to let people know that duties may be charged on the items they purchase from you. It's a good idea to place this policy in bold in your auction listing so that all customers are warned. You can contact HM Revenue and Customs by phone and they will be able to help you out with the exact amount of duty that may be charged.

I have found even by putting the statement on your auction, it will lead to buyers leaving NEG feedback
