last month i didnt have the money to pay my ebay fees, my bank account was overdrawn and my paypal has been -$120. my fault no problems there. i got my bank account straightened out and have been waiting for my check to come in to pay off my paypal. now i just sold a motherboard to a ps3 for $150. which covers the paypal balance with enough left over to ship it and maybe buy myself a pack of smokes. then i get a message from the buyer that he didnt read the item description and didnt want it, i thought i would be nice and refund his money. i dont want to force him to buy it if its not what he needs, since i didnt have the money to cover the refund, they are trying to take it from my bank. so i will get another $30 over draft fee + $8 a day till its paid! which will be a couple weeks if im lucky. paypal won't stop the refund, they told me to tell the bank to not accept it even if that works what about the buyer? what do i do? im so frustrated any thoughts would be great thanx

sign up for paypal buyer credit (which you will learn to hate in time as much as paypal) BUT, used in emergencies it will get you out of a jam and on with business OR link a credit card as a third payment option. i use them all in conjunction when ive just paid a bill or taken out the funds and (only) in emergencies (as with any credit) and stay on the move.

That is how the PP system works and I think there is no way to override that that's why contacting their Customer Service won't do much. voodootwothree is right. Try PP Buyer Credit betteryet, add a CC to your account because if you don't have a Paypal balance, they'll automatically try to get it from your cc and if it still doesn't work, then your bank account (it will be the last option).

That is exactly one of the reasons why they say PayPal is great for buyers but it doesn't always work as great if you're the seller :)

it's also good for getting something quick and keeping the old lady from noticing it for at least another statement cycle!

i was just looking through all my old posts and realized i never updated this. i know its been months since i posted this but........

after about a month of fighting w/ paypal, the buyer got ebay to give him a refund and they never touched my paypal, just gave him the money and forgot all about me.
i know this post is ancient but it was a happy ending

Nice work, chalk one up for the good guys!

What are you going to perform for your next trick, get ebay to better support its sellers.......now that would be impressive lol
