Can somebody explain to me why Nokia N95 is selling (like hot cakes) for 500+ GBP - 800+ GBP on eBay.co.uk when one can purchase one for 422 GBP at the UK Nokia retail outlet???

Is is possible that these buyers aren't genuine? Cos I looked at the winning bidders of these phones at these prices - most of them are not registered with eBay anymore

Probably but most of them I see at that price too including here in the US. Unlocked phones are a bit higher in price compare to a NON-UNLOCKED cellphone. Some of those ebayers that are not registered anymore are probably scam artist specially those who are newly registered. I use to have some of those people buy from me before and next thing you know, they are not registered anymore. That was when I was new to ebay.

So did you manage to receive payment from those people who bought from you?

Nope! Sometime they'll send you a fake email that says they have paid through paypal and the money will only be released if I send the item. Never ever reply to these emails because what they are really trying to get is your info. If you want to really make sure if they have paid, alway log into your paypal account but do not click any links in the email they have sent you. Always log into your paypal account by opening a new window. These guys are just out there to prey on people that are new to selling online. Even on craigslist these scam artist are out there. I did manage to stop those scammers on bidding on my items by blocking countries that I do not ship to.

I SOLD FAKE N95 WITHOUT KNOWING....NOW I MUST START ALL OVER AS EBAY CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION..FEEL FREE TO ASK ME ABOUT FAKE CELL PHONES AS I BECAME AN EXPERT.....
